Girls, preach! I so appreciated this podcast. I've had the same shaming at a doctor's office, from nurses and doctors. Being told when I was 17, told by a nurse practitioner, that breast surgery would be an option when I'm young so I'd have more success with boys! 17 and I still remember what I was wearing and what we did after and how this was something I couldn't discuss with my parents. I'm 55 now. It's like it happened yesterday! Body shaming is so traumatic and who is the worst culprit? Medical staff! ARGH!!!!

"flew around like a hillbilly" is one of my new favorite phrases. I'm almost positive she means the Beverly Hillbillies, but it's still a fun phrase.

so ifa cop makes an excessive force error, then they should be blacklisted from law enforcement. so if a journalist makes a factual error in reportage, they should be blacklisted from journalism. according to the guardian, the cop who did the shooting has been fired: you reported that the cops were on administrative leave. an error? is this the end of your career? or are you held to a lower standard?

the lyrics about "no trespassing" are actually originally part of Guthrie's song. https://www.woodyguthrie.org/Lyrics/This_Land.htm And I agree. This song should be our anthem.

I couldn't make it through the first episode because to be completely honest, I was getting a little annoyed that the girls kept talking all over each other. I wasn't seeing much of a point other than all of the girls trying to speak about their views coming from the perspective of a Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren perspective. I'm going to listen to a few more episodes to give it a chance, but if there isn't any views other than the Socialist left oh, I don't know if I'll be able to continue. I'm a die-hard crooked media girl. but I like to hear no different perspectives on issues.

I abhor Reality TV & I used to look down my nose at it till someone pointed out that I probably like trash too, just in a different genre. And sure enough, I love classical music but Britney Spears is also my jam; 2 of my fave books are [Great Expectations] & [Jane Eyre] but Janet Evanovitch's [One For the Money] really cracks me up. One person's trash is another person's treasure; the gift is in being able to admit you're a trash person. Which, it turns out, I AM.

Loved this episode. Also as a former Catholic (and a very young millennial) I do usually say I'm spiritual. I actually like organized religion (I like tradition and structure) but the beliefs of the Catholic Church is what keeps me away. it also doesn't help that I never believed in Jesus 😂
