Hi I’m Naïma and this is my podcast: I'd rather lick a bus, a weekly show where I’ll talk about my life as a 30 something trying to figure out how to live a happier, richer life even if I'm not particularly thrilled or motivated. Think of me as hopeful but jaded. This season I’ll talk about body acceptation, traveling when you’re broke, finally finding a career I love, health, how to keep friendships, what’s up with modern romance and dating and much more. I believe that happiness is teachable, I also think getting there will be a pain.

On this episode of I'd rather lick a bus I talk about a date I had with somebody I really like. What do you do when you're excited about somebody who is moving to another country ? As somebody said "you only lose what you cling to." This week I'm learning to take happiness as it is and not as I'd wish it to be because sometimes in life, it's all about accepting the joy of connecting with somebody without imagining a future with this person.
This week I quit my shitty job and I'm finally getting out of my own head and will attempt to get a job in the branch I studied and put my pristine and unused diploma to work. I'm also talking about the fear of trying and how money is freedom.
On this episode I experience hiking and subsequently lose my dignity, I meet a korean guy by chance and fall in love with travelling again.
This episode of I'd rather lick a bus contains a brief history of how I inhabited my body for the last 32 years and why I’m no longer treating it as if I had a spare somewhere.
