Description

Twenty years ago, you met Luke Danes...backward cap, plaid flannel, pouring the coffee. For the VERY first time, Scott Patterson (aka Luke) is watching Gilmore Girls. 154 episodes and 4 movies. We'll visit Stars Hollow, Doosey's Market, Miss Patty's, Mrs. Kim's antique shop and more pop culture references than you can count. Join us whether you're Team Dean, Team Logan or Team Jess. And, we'll see if we can figure out "who's the daddy". We'll talk fast, and if you can smell snow, if Paris isn't just a city in France, and Friday night dinner is a requirement... you don't want to miss this. Finally, cell phones are allowed. Listen everywhere you listen to podcasts. I AM ALL IN, an iHeartRadio podcast.

We're taking you back to the very first pop culture reference in the history of Gilmore Girls... The ethereal voice behind Sixpence None the Richer’s timeless hits “Kiss Me” and “There She Goes”, Leigh Nash! Dive into the nostalgia, the music, and what inspires Leigh today. Don’t miss this heartfelt conversation with a pop culture legend!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In the news… a Gilmore connection to Friday Night Lights. The scariest pool we’ve ever seen. A shirtless calendar you’re going to want to order immediately.  Plus, the most obvious Team Jess member ever.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We’re going golfing with Richard and Rory, but are we seeing double locations?   And, a shoeless detail occurs while prepping for the wedding, we’ll tell you where. Plus, Kirk still isn’t Kirk in this episode, we speculate why! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We are boldly going where no man has gone before with director Adam Nimoy, YES that Nimoy! So, beam me up Scotty (Patterson)!  Find out what lessons he learned from his dad, Leonard, that he put to use on Gilmore Girls. Don’t be illogical and miss this episode!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We loved the first two episodes, but this third episode… it was just… okay. What was with the fashion and the feet photos?! Plus, find out which character reminds us of Ickstopher! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Just like Sookie does in Gilmore Girls, can you determine if a peach is too watery by rolling it on the ground? We find out! And, is a peach a romantic fruit? Plus, which family farm produces over 100 million peaches and has operated over 100 years? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The recipe for a great Gilmore Girls episode is a heartfelt small-town story, a dash of romantic tension, and of course… a heavy pour of pop culture references. We’re going “semi homemade” this week when we talk to chef and author Sandra Lee!   She was mentioned in “A Year in the Life: Summer” as a potential chef for the Dragonfly Inn, and we’re going to find out what she would have done IF she had gotten the job!   Sandra shares her journey through crafts, county fair blue ribbons, and we learn how to set the perfect tablescape on I Smell Pop Culture!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
People magazine posted a story about Sally Struthers but we’ve got the truth.  Did Harrison Ford and Kelly Bishop have chemistry?  Sean Gunn has a part in Superman but why are we fixated on the dog?  Plus, Milo’s wife is in tears, we will tell you why.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We caught quite a few flags in this episode!! And, the clown pillow makes its debut! Did you catch the boom mic in front of Miss Patty's, Luke’s random diner sign, and Lorelai’s enclosed entryway with a piano?  If not, we’ll let you know what to be on the lookout for!   See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Keiko Agena (aka Lane) joins us for a deep dive into Episode 2. Lorelai’s notorious first day of Chilton outfit makes its debut.  (Everything else was at the dry cleaner???!!!) It’s revealed who was a bundle of nerves during the first days of filming and we get our introduction to the Chilton crew. Is Paris the perfect high school villain?See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The dance, the breakdown..this was definitely an emotional episode, and we felt for Fanny and Michelle. But, as a Gilmore fan, it’s strange to see another mother daughter relationship that isn’t Emily & Lorelai. Plus, hello Rico…Mitchum with a ponytail was a nice surprise!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Please, Luke, please, please. How many cups of coffee have you had this morning?None.Plus?Five, but yours is better. From the bean, to the roast, and the drip, coffee expert Lance Hedrick breaks down how to make the perfect cup of coffee that even Lorelai would approve of!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
A scene by scene breakdown of the pilot with special guest, Emily Kuroda!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We knew he was THE guy when he played Dave Rygalski, but the whole world has fallen in love with Adam Brody in Nobody Wants This. So, should he be the Sexiest Man Alive 2024… YES! And why wasn’t there a Jess spin off…we finally have answers! Plus, A LOT of Gilmore Girls actors are landing roles left and right, Lauren Graham on Z-Suite, Kelly Bishop on Shrinking, Jon Hamm on Landman, and more!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It’s our inaugural Town Meeting episode! We start with the pilot and we vote Yay to Dan Palladino making an appearance. We vote Nay to how different Luke’s Diner looks to the one we know and love. We pass a 2/3 majority vote to keeping the fall fashion looking quintessentially cozy... loved Rory’s sweater. And, we propose a notion to always be on the lookout for everything you may have missed in the episode.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It’s Fall, and that means the rewatch of Gilmore Girls begins NOW!  Sean Gunn joins us and shares a hilarious story of why he’s watched the only episode he isn’t in several times.  Hello Unionville! We get to meet the small town that inspired our beloved Stars Hollow.   Is the pilot a perfect episode… we think so!  So, grab your Luke’s coffee mug, because WE ARE ALL IN AGAIN! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Shoulders up, point your toes!!It’s the pilot episode of Bunheads! And to be honest, right after our rewatch of Gilmore Girls, it’s a bit jarring to see Rose aka Gypsy and Kelly aka Emily as other characters! The show is a bit more racy, but we like it! And, the ending broke our hearts a bit!But in perfect Amy Sherman-Palladino style, she sets up the pilot perfectly with her wacky characters, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
When you watch an episode of Gilmore Girls, you can expect 3 things: cozy vibes, fast talking, and a lot of pop culture references.  We’re taking you BEYOND the quick reference in the episodes and learning more about how someone becomes a staple in pop culture, and we’re starting off with a TV icon… Tina Louise from Gilligan’s Island! Tina was referenced in Season 3, Episode 10 “That’ll Do Pig”, when Francie says “you do not wanna be my enemy, Marlo Thomas” and Rory responds with “I think I do, Tina Louise”.  Learn how Tina’s early life helped shape her into one of the most beloved actresses of all time, and hear some stories from her time as Ginger Grant on the legendary Gilligan’s Island.  We promise it won’t be a 3 hour tour, but grab your coconuts and come aboard for I Smell Pop Culture!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT! It’s the first edition of Gilmore Girls Gazette, and it’s jam packed with news from your favorite Gilmore friends. Was there love brewing on the stage of The Music Man between Sutton Foster and Hugh Jackman, especially now that she is getting divorced? We think so!  And, speaking of Sutton Foster, Danielle gives her review of her new broadway show Once Upon a Mattress.  Chad Michael Murray shirtless for a Netflix film? Do we need to say more? YES please.  Plus, Jess (I mean Milo) is going to be a DAD! With his wife Jarah Mariano.. yep we can’t get over he married a MARIANO either!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We smell snow…again.More….Coffee coffee coffee. Please Luke.  Please please please! It’s Fall, and it’s time to watch Gilmore Girls… again! Like you, we’re ready to rewatch every episode … again! And this time, with a twist… multiple plot twists!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

it seems pretty likely to me that Scott had/is having an extra marital affair and feels very justified in doing it.

Emily is so upset by the presence of Trix because she treats her like shit!! and Richard goes along with it. She's freaked out because they bully her and verbally abuse her, that's their dynamic. She doesn't want the demise of her mother-in-law, she just wants some peace and to be left the hell alone. Maybe she's triggered by her because of past trauma. People aren't in control of their emotions, she feels the way she feels. And we all know that Emily is not going to go to therapy to deal with these issues. Sometimes people, no matter the age, regress back to a younger age when they're triggered or around certain family members. Trauma is not logical, it's primal, unconscious! Trix is terrifying, I don't blame her for not standing up to her. You may need to be reminded that not everyone reacts to a situation in the same way as you and maybe look into psychology a bit. Paris needs to be institutionalized!?!? For what? Being awkward or weird? Needing connection? You continually make fun
