Why do people remain shocked that a majority of Christians (and the nation) voted for Donald Trump? Can you believe in biblical inerrancy AND hold to the old earth creation model? There's been an intramural debate brewing between old earth and young creationists, and some evangelical scholars say it's time to rethink the bedrock doctrine of biblical inerrancy for Christianity to remain viable in the intellectual sphere. But what do the Scriptures, along with what we can observe scientifically, reveal about creation and the age of the earth?Astrophysicist and Christian apologist, Dr. Hugh Ross, joins Frank from the SES 2024 Steadfast conference to discuss questions like:How does science demonstrate that there was a creation event? Is Genesis 1 a polemic against the Egyptian creation story?Does the Bible leave the age of the earth as indeterminate? When was Adam created and what does Dr. Ross think of William Lane Craig's view of the historical Adam?Does a person's belief about the age of the earth affect their salvation? How do young earth creations address the scientific evidence for an old earth?Did God artificially age the universe? What about neanderthals?Should Genesis 1-11 be interpreted differently than the rest of the book?Whether you're a young or old earth creationist, this podcast episode will be packed with plenty of information that could challenge or bring clarity to your perspective on when and how God created the universe.Resources mentioned during the episode:RESCUING INERRANCY (BOOK): https://a.co/d/7p9qKeXHUGH ROSS' MINISTRY: https://reasons.org/
Why are so many Christians being led astray by statements like "abortion is healthcare," "trans women are women," and "love is love"? Conservative commentator and Christian author Allie Beth Stuckey joins Frank to talk about the inspiration behind her brand new book, 'Toxic Empathy', which explores real-life examples of how compassion has been weaponized against Christians, ultimately shaming evangelicals into supporting and celebrating policies that violate the Christian worldview.During their conversation, Frank and Allie will answer questions like:What are the five main issues that Allie tackles in the book? How is toxic empathy causing Christians to become blind to the false narratives that are being promoted through secular media? What events awakened Allie to the reality of toxic empathy invading evangelicalism? How has the social justice movement distorted God's view of justice? What unique approach did Allie take in introducing each chapter that will help readers show compassion towards the stories mentioned in the book?Resources mentioned during the episode:Allie's Book: ToxicEmpathy.comAllie's Website: AllieBethStuckey.comHelpful Resources and Local Voting Guide: VoteYourFaith.netDoes Jesus Trump Your Politics? https://bit.ly/48eRJzPIs It Wrong for Christians to Call Out Shepherds? https://bit.ly/3zTC7W3Shepherds for Sale with Megan Basham: https://bit.ly/4hdo5Py
Why do so many Christians find it acceptable to stay silent in the face of evil? Historian Bill Federer joins Frank to discuss his latest book, 'Silence Equals Consent: The Sin of Omission,' the Church's history of political indifference, and explore why now, more than ever, Christians must engage with the world to preserve (religious) freedom.Together, they tackle key questions, including:How did God address globalism in the Bible? What subtle tactics has Satan used to keep Christians silent? How did America’s founders draw inspiration from ancient Israel's covenant government? What happens when Christians stop speaking up and lose their influence in society? How should Romans 13 be interpreted in a self-governing republic versus a monarchy?Resources mentioned during the episode:Billi's book: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1736959077Bill's website: https://americanminute.com/
If politics isn't your thing, or you've lost your enthusiasm to vote this year, you REALLY need to tune in! Frank dedicates this podcast episode to focusing on the top three questions Christians must consider regarding "religion and politics" and what history has taught us when Christians disengage from politics and choose not to vote. He also summarizes some of the helpful information you'll find available at VoteYourFaith.net by addressing questions and issues like:What are the consequences when Christians don't vote? How was Jesus involved in politics, and how does that help us vote?If a politician can’t save you, why vote at all? (Sorry, but you’ll see why this is a stupid objection!)Does abortion trump everything else?Where do both parties stand on "the more important matters of the law"?Should Christians vote for the most good or the least evil? What is the Equality Act, and how could it hurt our children, jobs, and religious freedoms? Why are you not voting for one person?God has used both righteous and unrighteous leaders throughout the Bible to accomplish His good purposes, so get informed, go vote, and leave the results to God!Resources mentioned during the episode:Helpful Resources and Local Voting Guide: http://VoteYourFaith.netGeorge Barna on The Charlie Kirk Show: https://apple.co/4eQeAEkDavid Daleiden & Planned Parenthood video: https://bit.ly/3BFt6jQNew York Post article on Kamala Harris & Planned Parenthood: https://bit.ly/483XgcCNew York Post article on FEMA "Disaster Equity": https://bit.ly/3zT22NrThe Heritage Foundation Explains The Equality Act: https://herit.ag/3Y07Z31The Washington Stand: For the 41 Million Christians 'Unlikely' to Vote: https://bit.ly/3BItiPh
Is the American Church still shining as the light of Christ, or have we made too many compromises in the name of "tolerance" and "inclusion"? As darkness grows in our nation, it’s becoming clear that the faith of many has become cloudy and confused, leading to the rise of secularism and threats to the freedoms once rooted in the Christian worldview. Where are we headed, and what lessons from the past should serve as warnings for our future? This week, Frank sits down with the one and only Dr. Erwin Lutzer about his brand new book, 'The Eclipse of God', which explores how America attempts to redefine God, replacing Him with one made in our image. Dr. Lutzer will challenge listeners to count up the cost of being a faithful follower of Christ in the face of growing cultural persecution and expose how the redefining of God has crept into the American Church.Resources mentioned during the episode:DR. Hi, thanks for your faithfulness! Just a note, however, to say I was disappointed with Episode 475 with Dr. Hugh Ross. I found him dismissive of YEC views and I found his characterizations came across as arrogant and belittling. Not to mention his interpretation of Genesis is just convoluted. I think interviewing some PhDs who are YECs is a future must. Plenty are available. Ron Carter, Jonathan Sarfati, John Baumgardner just off the top of my head. 😊

"Where in the Scriptures does it say that he'll be raised on the third day" is the opening question. I have a question: Where in this podcast episode was that question answered? The guest mentions a bunch of passages that you might call "types," but I don't recall him actually answering the question.

I had to stop 28 minutes into the audio since the guest had said almost nothing in 28 minutes. The total amount of information should have been expressed in less than five minutes. That's why I font like listening to Wallablce, Koukl, and many other apologists.

This show would be better if Mr. Turek weren't nearly yelling in every episode.

Turek doesn't see that Israel has become like the Nazis. They went from being oppressed in Europe to oppressing the Palestinians. Europe was the one oppressing the Jews. But the Palestinians paid the price. Israel has been killing innocent civilians since 1948 where they illegally immigrated to British Mandated Palestine. Turek is always saying he doesn't like illegal immigration, but he likes the Jews illegally immigrating to Palestine in 1948. And the Jewish Messiah is not our Messiah.

Listen to The Martyrmade podcast on Israel/Palestine. He goes into detail. It's 25 hours over 6 episodes. Turek never mentions the Zionists militias, the Irgun, the Hagana, the Stern gang who committed massacres against the Palestinians. He doesn't mention Ben Gurion, the first Israeli Prime Minister of Israel saying he would never make terms with Israel if he was an Arab, because Israel has stolen their land. He doesn't mention that other countries and the USA wouldn't take in Jewish refugees.

my only caution comes from reading Erwin W. Lutzer's book, "No Reason to Hide" where he quotes Putin who said, "Artificial Intelligence is the future, not only for Russia, but for all humankind. Whoever becomes the leader in this sphere will become the ruler of the world" And sadly, as a retired Art educator and artist, I know one literary author and artists whose careers are being destroyed from other's use of AI...and the general unsuspecting public that cannot as yet differentiate.

Please help me understand. Where in the Bible does it say we are made in the image of God? Reading comprension is key to understanding the Bibe. God made Adam in the image of Himself. Then He made Eve out of Adam's rib. And as anyone knows, a copy of a copy is not the same. I digress. But anyways, Adam in the garden of Eden was in his perfect adult form, meaning he was created a fully formed adult and he didn't age because he ate from the tree of life. I submit that Adam inside the garden was a very different type of person, than he was when he was tossed out of the garden of Eden. And we are all children of the "tossed out of Eden" Adam and Eve, or rather children of Noah's family. Based on this summation, we cannot be made in the image of God, for only Adam was, and possibly Eve. People flee from the Bible for many reasons. But one of those reasons is because they see an inbred 600 pound bucktooth type person and they think the Bible must be a lie because that's definitely not the im

This comment is on Dan Kimball's response to the question why don't Christians have to keep the OT law. He gives the classic supersessionist answer that posits that Jesus abolished parts of the Torah. This contradicts Jesus plain statement that He did not come to abolish but to fulfill. (It makes no sense to claim that fulfill actually means the same thing as abolish.) The point Dan also makes that you have to ask to whom a command was given to determine if it applies to you IS the answer. All Jews are still in covenant with God and covenant fidelity requires them to keep the dietary laws and other OT laws WHEN APPLICABLE. Now, any law given only to abbly when living in the Land of Promise would not apply to diaspora Jews (at least not directly,) and any law requiring a functioning Temple would also not apply unless and until the Temple is rebuilt. As for Gentile believers, we may derive valuable principles from Torah laws we are not directly obligated to observe but we do have more fr
