Description
My first ever podcast! This is just a great way to share some long-form conversations with people I love and admire. I had some conversations with myself at the beginning even! Truly, just getting into whatever is going on in my life, and the lives of those I get to talk to. And a whooole lot of figuring it out as we go. Come along for the ride, I'd love to talk to you! This episode was a blast! It's always a good time to talk to Mat. Mat Lewis works at a brewery, and this is our spin on that standard two-white-guys-talking-beer kinda podcast episode! Just a really great conversation, with a really great guy to talk to. Learn how to make beer, how it can fulfill you creatively, and how it needs to be talked to appropriately.
We used to have hours of talking like this when we worked together at a different brewery, so it was really nice to have some drinks, and have a good time. I'm glad to share it with you, hope you enjoy. Then later, I hope you visit Mat, and enjoy some beers!
Mat wanted to make sure that anyone wanting to donate to a good cause be encouraged to pick their favorite local mental health nonprofit to donate money to. Mental health is an incredibly important thing to support, and bolstering the local resources is one of the best ways to contribute to our cultural shift towards healthier minds inside healthier humans! He also wanted me to include a local mental health nonprofit of my choosing, and so here is a link if you'd like to donate to the Missouri Mental Health Foundation! https://www.missourimhf.org/donate/

Jordan and I sat and talked for a while! We had such a blast, aaannnd it's a long one. If you've ever wondered anything about us as a couple, the answer is probably somewhere in this jam packed episode.
We did a bit of catching up, but then we unpacked. We unpacked five years of relationship stuff! It was a lot of fun, it got real, and we talked about a lot of stuff that doesn't come up super often, and all amidst our ENGAGEMENT TIMES!
So just sit back, relax, treat yourself to breaks when you need them, and enjoy a big ole lovey relationship episode.
Unrelated to everything we talked about, Jordan's pick for a charity or cause for listeners to donate money to, should hey wish, is Greenpeace! Greenpeace is a global network involving many organizations which bring attention to environmental problems as well as solutions. If you want to donate, there is an option in the upper left corner of their website, this link will take you there. https://www.greenpeace.org/usa/
Thank you so much for listening! Love over everything!

We're back! And I'm gonna keep making this podcast as a great excuse to have some fun conversations with some fascinating people. As often as possible!
This one is just to catch up on some life stuff, and talk about what's next for the podcast. I'm happy to be releasing episodes again, and I've had such an amazing experience recording the episodes we have on deck. Thank you so much for listening, I promise to keep doing my best for you!
Among the new stuff I wanna do, I'm including an opportunity to donate to a good cause. Later episodes will have causes picked by our guests, so today will be one I wanna include!
https://blackpowerblueprint.org/donate/ Here is the link to donate to the Black Power Blueprint. This group is working hard in the north side of St. Louis, to transform the community into one owned and managed by the members of the community, and with infrastructure and coordination to continue making improvements indefinitely. They're outstanding, and more important than ever during a time in which the city government is close to completing a decades long project to displace an entire community of people. If you're wyt, just think of a donation as reparations on your terms! I dunno if I'm qualified to say that at all, but I'll say anything I wanna if I think it'll get you to donate! Whoever donates the most and sends a screenshot or some sort of proof to IJCSTpodcast@outlook.com, WILL get a gift! To be determined and announced officially, at a later time.
Love you all so much! Thanks again!

Wow! What a big episode for us to end poetry month with! T-Spirit herself sat down over zoom and talked with me for a while about all sorts of amazing stuff.
First of all, she has a new book out now! Some Things Must Be Heard! I've said it before, and I will say it again, this should be required reading/listening for any poets or fans of poetry, as well as a required book for anyone's 2021 reading list. After listening to the audio book which comes with the book itself, you will feel empowered and creative and ready to take on the world. You deserve that.
Follow everything she does on facebook or instagram; more importantly, be sure to get your copy of her book, then book her for your events, get your own Intimate Expression, and be on the look out for her writing workshops! You can find all those things and more at https://tspirit.net/
As always, find me on tiktok and facebook, and hit me up with any feedback or fun stuff you'd like to at IJCSTpodcast@outlook.com
Love you all so much!

Been a little while since we've had an episode this long!!! And you know I just love the long ones.
Zach Brown is an amazing person, and a very talented poet known as the Word Nerd! He and I have a lot in common, haven't had the chance to talk this much before, and neither of us had a time limit, so we just let it RIP! Poetry talk, current events talk, and tangents galore. Not to mention exploring the amazing game of Find-the-Right-Word! He truly had a lot of great wisdom to share as well. And his amazing poetry is scattered through the episode, more towards the end, and very worth hearing!
Jordan even makes a surprise appearance, and if you listen close enough you just might catch her!
If you want to check Zach out, find Word Nerd Poetry on facebook and instagram. And be on the lookout for his upcoming haiku prints and book projects in the future!

Wow, what a special episode this is! The man who welcomed me to the StL poetry scene, the man who lives the life of a creative in all ways, the man himself, Chris Ware!
I am so grateful we got to sit down and talk for the first time in a while. He had so much good wisdom to drop in our affirmations, gratitude and pride time. We get to hear about all the great things Chris is working on, as well as which ones you can check out and how, and we hear some epic poetry, some old and some new!

Oh wow, do we have an epic episode for you today!
Kisha, Unlimited the Poet, the founder and owner of The Woke Brand is our guest, and we got into it! She had plenty of gems during our affirmations, proud and grateful talk. We got into some good business talk, and you won't get all her secrets, but if entrepreneurship is your interest, then she is an amazing person to listen to. We managed to talk plenty about poetry too, and she shared two POWERful poems with us. Seriously, if all you do is listen to this episode for the poems she shared, then you'll be so happy.
Make sure to check out The Woke Brand on Facebook or Instagram, get some customized clothes, some of her original designs, or find something for someone you know! While you're checking it out, find a way to follow the brand for the future of The Woke Brand's events.
We've got nothing but love for all of you. Thank you so much for listening, and have an awesome day!

Oh dang! What is up??? Not much here, just a full life and poetry discussion with Blakk the poet, the man himself: Jared Lewis!!!
We do our usual stuff, he had nothing but wisdom and happy vibes for us, and then we get deep talking about poetry!
You've gotta listen to the full thing this time (I know, I know, as if you'd ever wanna do anything else), because he spits some perfect poetry towards the end and we close it out with one of his new favorite poems.
Be sure to follow him on the socials, and start by checking out his instagram @47_blakk_74, we talk about what he's got going on lately and it's a lot of cool stuff to check out!
So enjoy. Lemme know what you think. Take it easy, and feel nothing but love!

Just a long long episode about poetry! Poetry month is coming up, and IJCST will feature as many poet interviews as possible, so to set the tone for that, Jordan and I talked about all things poetry we could manage from our lives, and definitely missed some stuff!
The reason it took so long, is not only because we have both done a ton of poetry stuff, but also because we were having TOO MUCH FUN recording together. So enjoy the joy, and enjoy the poetry! The best poems got shared at the end, so good luck making it that far!
Nothing but love to all of you, hit me up with anything you like, check out my return to tiktok, and just have a great great day.

Whew! Talked about a bunch! Did our affirmations, gratitude, pride, and mental health check in, and then I just talked a bunch about what has been keeping me busy lately! Didn't get to it all, but I got to a lot of good stuff.
So I addressed some podcast feedback, and talked about what this podcast is right now.
I talked about my Park Day and some awesome news! Also a little about future podcast episode ideas that should be just a whole heck of a good time!
I talked about my justice road trip to Jeff City to oppose the Senate Bill 26! If you care about me at all, or if you care about justice and American laws and culture at all, then do everything you can to oppose SB26! If you're getting a little sick of the podcast, by all means support sb26, I do imagine it could be the death of me.
Love you all so much! We're doing it! Keep doing it! Thank you as always for listening!

Hands down, best episode yet!
Hondo is a great friend, and an even greater activist. He was on house arrest during the recording of this episode, hopefully with the end in sight.
He shares as much as he can about his journey, from his upbringing, to his entry into activism, from the events leading to his house arrest, to where we are now, and we talk plenty about where we need to go next. I'm not gonna spoil anything, I'm gonna let him tell you!
We talk briefly about donating to a fund for Hondo to aid his activist pursuits, especially given his current circumstances, so if you would like to do that, for now send money to the $projectchristopher cashapp, *and make sure to include the name "Hondo" in your donation*. I am using my cashapp rather than a crowd funding site to ensure all money can go to him and not fees and such. If you want to get money to him another way, feel free to reach out to me at IJCSTpodcast@outlook.com.
And since I just cannot stop (fucking) talking, I also got to share some about my recent work with the Uhuru Solidarity Movement. Specifically, I talk about the aldermanic race in St. Louis' 3rd Ward, and the challenges faced by Herdosia "Kalambayi" Bentum as she works with the International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement and the Black Power Blueprint to restore north city to a place its residents can call home, and to lay an economic foundation owned by the community which can be built on for years to come.

I had bigger plans for this week's episode, but due to unforeseen mental health struggles those plans will have to wait!
I talk about those plans, as well as what kept them from taking place, and what to expect in the future!
I made sure to do our affirmations, as well as proud and grateful talk. I also managed to ramble a whole lot about what's been going on with me outside of the struggles.
I really love you all so much, glad to have some sort of episode for you. And this episode was meant to be even shorter, but true-to-form I just couldn't stop talking!
So there ya go. Be well, take it easy, do the right thing, and enjoy the ride! (Do you think that's a good closing tagline? We'll see)

Well here it is! A complete and up to date account of my mental health. Nobody asked for it, yet here it is anyway!
Much more detailed than I usually care to go, including the nature of my trauma, the nature of my repression, my struggles with denial, resentment, and imposter syndrome, as well as my interventions and growth.
Jordan joins me after the first ten minutes, and we managed to be silly through some of the more serious matters, but we waited to get extra silly for the end. And you thought that was it? HAH! I haven't even mentioned the most exciting part of this episode yet!
FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER ON I JUST CAN'T STOP TALKING, THE EXCLUSIVE DEBUT OF OUR NEW SEGMENT:
Can You Guess the Song, Based on the Sounds I Make with my Mouth???
The song featured in our brand new segment this week can be found on our tiktok account @ijustcantstoptalking
As always feel free to donate for a better podcast. And enjoy this podcast getting better regardless!

What? Season 2 already??? Well that was quick!
Jordan joined me to talk about a whole bunch of stuff. And as you know, as soon as I get audio and tech figured out, I mess something up, so hopefully you don't have too hard a time hearing her! Anyway, we will make these mistakes a thing of the past soon enough.
We did affirmations and talked about the ole G&P (gratitude and pride), talked about our podcast listener info, and played a new game called What Do You Hate More??? This week we compare online-story-recipes to Staged-prank-videos... and boy what a solid matchup!
We did some poetry and just had a whole lot of fun.
Keep doing your best, keep growing, and make sure you pause for deep breaths!

BEST EPISODE YET! - That's almost all I wanted to type. Seriously, because this is my favorite episode yet! We get DEEP. I love it, and have been refreshed!
We talked about so much, I talked about why Isaiah means so much to me, and about how we're doing lately, we did affirmations, and why we're grateful and proud!
We talked creativity, and a bit about creativity in the wake of great personal challenges. For Isaiah, creativity has most often meant fashion design, so we talk that and what else creativity means to him now!
We also covered growth, tangential to creativity, and also in a separate discussion. He is a growth-minded man, so we covered the topic in a very real way!
And we even got deep on sexuality towards the end of the episode! OOOoooOOOooo! Sorry if we get you all hot and bothered before bed.
Find us on the socials! If you're on a platform with rating and reviewing, PLEASE do it! I'm just a lil guy, and it'd sure mean a lot. And if not, then you can tell folks about it if it's really something you like and can see forming every episode, get them in early! Together, we'll take this shit to the moon! Or somewhere, I dunno, we'll figure it out!
I believe the almighty Anchor gives you the chance to donate if you really love me and want this podcast to get better, so check that out if you feel so inclined! Maybe I'll see if I can get you a link...
Anyway, I love you all very much, have an awesome time listening to this episode! You won't have as good a time as we did, but I believe you can get close to it.

Whew... What to say... I'd like to say roughly half this episode is going through old facebook saved posts!
The other half is my usual nonsense, updates, current events, how my life is going, ect.
And this episode was recorded in three parts over the course of like 4 days, and that was so much fun for me!
As usual let me know what you think!

This is a great episode, best one yet. Recorded towards the beginning of January, and this was my first ever Zoom interview!
We talked about all sorts of stuff, life, beer, singing, and primarily mental health.
Mat shares the most unique, comical, and just plain bizarre, story about a mental health wake-up call that I've ever heard!
Forgive the audio if it sounds a little shotty, and enjoy an awesome episode! 10 and a half down, infinity to go!

Damn! Damn, am I addicted to Facebook! Damn it all!
This episode is mostly me cleaning out all the facebook saved posts leading up to me taking facebook off my phone!
So we talk about a whole, whole, whole bunch! Lil bit of everything. You'll love it. Something for the whole gang.
The first half hour was just current events, personal updates, whatever else.
I had a blast, this was truly a lot of fun for me. Hope you have fun too!
Love you all so much!

This episode is a long talk with one of my best friends, T!
Sweet T, Tahshon, the man himself: T
Obviously, with my guy here, it was the best episode yet.
If you like hearing two friends chat it up, then this is the episode for you!
Love you all so much, and I can't wait to talk to you some more.

This episode is all about storytelling! Obviously I only scratched the surface, so storytelling will come up nonstop moving forward.
We did our usual IJCST stuff, gratitude, pride, current events, but we tried to do them all in story form this time!
I uncovered the long lost origin story of storytelling, and shared it with you all!
We talked about some more modern examples as well, how it's all interpreted in our brains, and did some general fanboy behavior over storytelling in general.
Peace, Harmony, Laughter, and Love, to you and yours!
PS: It has been called to my attention that in a previous episode I accidentally called Dead Eye Dick by Kurt Vonnegut non-fiction. That was a slip of the tongue, it is ABSOLUTELY FICTION. Good episode to set the record straight on my inability to accurately make basic statements about one of the best stories I've read, by one of the best storytellers I've found...
