IO Learning is the official online news source for the Symposium on Clinical Interventional Oncology (CIO), providing information on the latest advancements in interventional oncologic treatments. IO Learning is designed for all professionals in the interventional oncology field, including interventional radiologists, oncologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and radiologic technicians.

In today’s podcast, we will be discussing some of the major equity topics in IO and how representation and a level of deep understanding of different cultures can benefit patients, data accuracy, and the treatment of cancer in the IO field as a whole. My Co-host is the Global Lead for the Asian American Employee Resources Group and the Senior Manager of Medical Affairs & Education at Boston Scientific, Yixuan Yuki Ji. Dr Tomkovich is the co-principal investigator of the ICE3 trial, which was designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of breast cryoablation, enabling women older than 60 years with low-risk early-stage breast cancers to benefit from a nonsurgical treatment and to avoid the associated surgical risks.
