Have you ever said to yourself, "I wish that would have gone differently!" Well, why can't it? We replay these things over and over in our minds. Why not do that in advance? Why not take visualization and really use it? Why not use that in the moment, if both parties can choose to craft their experience together? What if they don't though? That can still pose a great question, can you create the experience you want to have internally even if someone else is having a different experience all together? Can you choose your internal climate, disregarding the pull of the others, or the social call to join the drama in the age old ways?
Round two of this topic about agreements that affect our lives from backstage. These seeds were planted, more often by others while we were learning and growing, rather than consciously by ourselves. Yet we are the only ones who can rewrite them. Until we do they are the internal law makers that govern how and why we do the things we do and feel what we do about every part of our daily lives. Let's uncover the next level of this and learn some ways we can start to gain freedom from the invisible chains holding us. Get a pen and paper for this one, you might just want to make some real revisions to your base programming.
With harvest all around us of amazingly fresh fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, berries and herbs why would we want to have a candy bar or drink an energy drink? What is the difference between food and medicine and poison? Why do you get more out of a food that is fresh off the plant than one that has been processed or dried, even just been stored for a few months? Is one food good for one person but not for another? Let's talk about these topics!
There are a lot of ways that each of us feel and see valor in our lives, our country and in each other. Let's explore those experiences together and become more aware of how the morals that we choose, the virtues that we decide to embody, and the actions that stem from them both shape our world.
A woman in Germany, a monitarily successful woman with an education as a teacher and phyciatrist took on a year challenge to live without money to experience it for herself. After that year was over she decided not to go back to her old ways, though she easily could have, but decided to continue on with the beautiful life she had found. I would like to explore this and what it brings up for each one of us. I have tribal agreements that have already manifested, ones that I am already rewriting when it comes to this topic. "Living without money means to discover the flow of life, to put in motion a new liveliness, enter into a new quality of life, which happens through attention, carefulness and vigilance. To be awake to my own person, to my neighbour, to the society and the whole universe signifies a new intensity, a devotion to life." Heidemarie Schwermer
Have you ever heard the admonition that you should never take your eye off the enemy? What about the saying "keep your eye on the prize"? How about the idea that you can wish something away if you do so hard and long enough? Then there are the supporters of affirmations. With all these opposing sides to the most effiecient way to to anything how are we to know what is best for our internal situations? How are we supposed to navigate relating to others and to our own reactions to the world? Let's talk about this and see what comes up.
Would you like to clear up your mind? Think more about the things that make you feel alive, give you joy and create growth? Well you are the gardener my friend and you must get in there and take a good look at the friuts of what plants are growing and if that space is being used wisely or if you could benefit from a good pass with the rototiller there. Not ready to replant? Well you can at least do some pruning to keep things a bay until you are strong enough to clear it out and be free of it. Happy Harvest to come so don't be afraid to get real and get in your own space!
Did you ever look at a piece of food and expect it to feel, tast or smell a certain way just from you looking at it? Did it ever surprise you? Maybe you were disappointed? Maybe you were caught off guard with how much it pleased you? Maybe you changed you diet to include this new food, or maybe you decided that it was making you sick and you needed to cut it out. Food is one topic, but really this is a universal truth. Awareness, which is the "lens" we are looking through at EVERYTHING internal and externally, is going to change what we see from how it actually exists. And how does it do that? What can we do with this? Let's talk about it!
I mentioned on the last relationships episode the concept of mirroring for each other in our relationships with others. What you see most often in others is the reflection of yourself. I would like to hear your thoughts and experiences on this, and discuss how we can use this powerful knowledge to transform our daily lives.
Have you ever watched a child who was just hurt show you what happened by hurting themselves again? If a doctor said you were sick would you want him to let you make yourself more sick with a treatment plan, or would you want to get healthier, stronger and not get sick again so easily? Often we may find that talking about our experiences can be very helpful, even cathartic. So we call up our pals and vent, but what if venting that just masks our pain, makes it easier to be angry or hurt the next time? Let's explore how cultivating the opposites of fear, hate and sadness can be the best medicine you have ever had.
If we think we choose what we believe and what we do now just because we are grown, THINK AGAIN! If you think that you are nothing like "them" or you are fighting against something you think you don't believe, THINK AGAIN! Your "tribe" can be your family, your office, your friends, your town, your church, your society but no matter what tribe you belong to it is most likely that there are some beliefs that each member of the group has adopted, even if unwillingly or unknowingly, and they effect what we do every day. We all want to belong and yet we all want to be who we really are, this makes it easy to feel conflicted, even if it is buried deep down, which can cause a lot of unnecessary pain and frustration.
This is something we all experience - the opportunity to choose love over fear, to not fear differences but to love people because we are all one human family. I was gifted the opportunity to watch a video posted by Single Dad Laughing. In a article titled "I'm a Christian, unless you're gay", which took a lot of courage for him to post, he talks about love overcoming our differences, love being more powerful than hate and fear. I urge you to watch it and share it, and even better act on it now, in any way you can. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3rGZ-8c_14&feature=share

What are we really supposed to get out of our myriad of relationships during our lifetime? From parents, to children, friends, co-workers, lovers and spouses, we get all different kinds of experiences. How have they shaped you, and are you aware of it?
