In this episode, your host Yadhu, co-host Jayesh, and guest Ramya (gurl_with_the_curls) touch upon a taboo topic that needs many open conversations about. We go deeper into the pitfalls of p*rn addiction, normalized body/s*ut shaming, women's body autonomy, a proper understanding of pleasure, and the evolution of Tamil cinema in terms of all this.
"We are always told that the basic necessiti- es of life are three in number: food, clothing and shelter. I would say they are four in number: food, sex, shelter and clothing, in the order in which they have been written. In fact, if we think beyond this, we will realise that the necessities of an early man would have been only food, sex and maybe shelter. The need for food and sex is created by our instincts; even animals, whose lives are guided by their instincts, crave for food and sex.
Sex is not dirty by itself. Sex becomes dirty when it is forced upon another person through emotional or physical threats. This may happen in sex trade, this may happen at large, and this may also happen in the so-called sacred institution called marriage." Toilet Seat by Latha

In a previous episode, I had discussed 4 of Yorgos Lanthimos movies with "Queen is Dead Podcast". Here, Ithyaadhi Talks joins us to analyse "Poor Things" movie. This episode contains heavy spoilers for the same.
This episode is something special and belongs to a different zone considering the previous episodes we have did so far. The "Sleepwalker’s Archive" is a captivating art experience at the Institut Français de Pondichéry (IFP), blending archival photographs, herbarium specimens, card catalogues, maps, and more into a unique form of storytelling. Curated by Karthik Subramanian, Devarati Chakrabarti, and Sujeet George, this project includes a documentary film by Subramanian and is supported by India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) and Tata Trust. Running from May 16 to June 2, 2024, it explores the connections between archival objects and the worlds they encapsulate, offering a fresh, animated perspective on history.
Having recently experienced the “Sleepwalker’s Archive” art exhibition, in this episode, I will be speaking with Karthik Subramanian, a photographer and one of the curators of the event. Karthik, who created a semi-fictional documentary as part of this experience, will discuss the origins of the art exhibition, his innovative approach to crafting the documentary, the importance of the IFP Institute and Pondicherry, his journey in photography, his views on still photography as a storytelling medium, the state of archiving in India, his inspirations ranging from Raja to Herzog to French New Wave and his philosophical curiosity.
The episode is available on major audio platforms. Considering the runtime, take your time, listen to this episode and let us know your feedback!

Another fun episode to onboard Jayesh from Butter Biscuit Podcast as our additional host.
In today's episode, as a first-time host, Devi (@film.trance) is joined by her dear friend Vishnu Jayakumar (@vishnujayakumarr) as we celebrate the auspicious occasion of Mohanlal's birthday. They are diving in wholeheartedly for this heartfelt start by discussing their favorite actor.
A fun catchup session with other hosts Curioser Adithiyan and Film Trance Devi where we talk about nothing. It's an episode about nothing.
In this episode, Adithiyan (@curioseradithiyan)will be interacting with the Writer, Actor and Producer of the latest independent Hindi feature film "Andaman" now currently streaming on OpenTheatre OTT. A very special thanks to Curiouser Adhithiyan for helping me with the inputs.
2023 was a rich year for movies, we have the most ambitious cross-over yet with a lot of recurring guests from previous episodes to discuss the best movies of last year.
A solo episode by Yadhu to reflect upon mental health in today's society and some ways to avoid getting into pitfalls of void.
It's a common phenomenon to see some (most) Tamil commercial movies struggling to maintain the momentum they built up for the interval block carry on till the end. In this episode your host Yadhu and Curioser Adhithiyan talk about this issue with Film Page carpe_diem_movies. We take examples of various movies including other languages to showcase how this isn't a recent problem.
