First Residents of Holden Hall Return to Campus and Share MSU Memories

A group of 12 Spartans returned to Michigan State University's campus for a two-day reunion on September 30 and October 1, marking their 58th anniversary as Holden Hall's second-floor first residents. These Spartans have stayed in touch since 1967, despite dispersing around the country to pursue their careers. Tom Kueny, Paul Vigilanti, Maryann Bohemke, Karl Bohemke and Brad Dlouhy share some of their fondest memories from their time at MSU.

Conservative activist Charlie Kirk shot at Utah Valley University event, MSU community members share perspectives

During the first event of Turning Point USA's fall “American Comeback” tour, co-founder and CEO Charlie Kirk was fatally shot in the neck on Utah Valley University campus. After the Feb. 2023 shooting on MSU campus, gun violence remains a pertinent topic for MSU students, leading many students and community members to speak about the ongoing trend of gun violence in schools and the political implications of the shooting.

MSU Elects Dr. Guskiewicz as New President

This past Friday, Michigan State University elected Dr. Kevin Guskiewicz as their new president. Dr. Guskiewicz will serve as Michigan State’s 22nd president and 6th president in six years. Following numerous hardships such as the mass shooting on Feb. 13 and the recent removal of head football coach Mel Tucker, students want stability moving forward.
