John and Joan Hill

John and Joan Hill

2019-02-1701:09:459

In 1969, Joan Robinson Hill died 14 hours after being admitted to the hospital. Multiple autopsies could not determine exactly what caused the sudden and severe illness that took her life, and many suspected foul play. Two and a half years later, her husband John Hill was gunned down at his home in front of their 12 year old son. Many believe a connection between the two deaths though the legal system couldn’t seem to prove it.Today's Sponsors:Case ClosedThird Love FlamingoFabFitFunBrooklinenLearn more about your ad choices. Why talk about a totally irrelevant missing persons case just because they disappeared around the same time?

The theories they bring up towards the end of the episode are stupid. Why waste the listener's time with these?

I have listened to hundreds of crime podcasts and love them all. This podcast and Rehtaehs story really rattled me like no other story has. . My thoughts and prayers to her family.

Sounds like a hit and an accidental mistaken identity and I think her hair was probably cut so if the killer had to take a photo for proof of killing “Kristina” , and then realized they killed the wrong person. that would make sense.

Did they ever check the flights/flight schedule? Maybe she was running down/up the escalator to catch a flight and was about to miss it. And she in fact did miss it. Maybe it wasn’t to go home to Sweden. Maybe she was going to go somewhere with this guy and maybe she was annoyed because she thought he was already on the plane or because she didn’t know if he even showed up
