Prof Tim Noakes joins In The Know to discuss the misconceptions about saturated fats, cholesterol, and the Banting diet. Banting is a low-carb, high-fat diet. When implemented correctly in one's lifestyle, the Banting diet can have huge benefits for one's health and well-being. Please have a look at what The Noakes Foundation is up to! The Noakes Foundation is a Public Benefit Organization founded for public benefit which aims to advance medical science’s understanding of the benefits of a low-carbohydrate healthy high fat (LCHF) diet by providing evidence-based information on optimum nutrition. The Foundation’s key goal is to change the way South Africa eats because the epidemics of obesity and type 2 diabetes are set to cripple national healthcare within the next 10 years. The Foundation purely relies on funding to carry out this mandate, visit our website to find out how you can help: www.thenoakesfoundation.org

Just a quick episode to break the silence of In The Know! In this episode I touch on a little bit of my experiences in Thailand and Bali, which lead me to the realization of how bad vegetables oils are for our energy production! I also explain why coconut oil IS good for us and why the American Heart Association may be stirring up some fake news about the health benefits of coconut oil
In today's episode I'm am joined with Casey Diepeveen as we talk about her big move to New York to study acting. Taking a leap of faith and pursuing something unconventional like a creative lifestyle is incredibly difficult and is frowned upon by the general public. Casey and I discuss the difficult choices we have made to pursue our creativity and how we feel about it
This is the final episode that concludes Gav and I's long conversation about our most recent thoughts that have been tugging on our brains. We hope you enjoyed these episodes as much as we did when we had this discussion! A lot of real truths can come out of a long deep conversation dedicated to uncovering the understanding of the world we live in.
Thank you all for the wonderful support! It's encouraging me to continue to keep coming out with episodes. So today it's just me on the podcast speaking from the heart about my feelings and experiences I'm having here in America. There have been some highs and lows and many lessons to learn so I thought I'd share with you what's been happening. Enjoy the episode and let me know if this message resonates with you in any way
We hoped you enjoyed the previous episode where Gav and I spoke about religion. Naturally our conversation turns to psychedelics and we believe it has an integral part in the human experience. Without them, there would be no religion today. Psychedelics are finally emerging from the negative pit hole that it once was put in by those who are trying to control the masses! So we feel it's necessary to come out clean with our use of these substances and how it's changed our world in such a powerful and positive way! My hope is that you put all the negative lies that you were told about these substances and open up to the idea that psychedelics are medicine for this sick world we live in.
ITK returns with non other than the best editor, production manager and my good friend Gav Biggs. Honestly this podcast would not exist without the help from this amazing individual. I am eternally grateful for the energy and passion he puts into the episodes that we bring you. Today we go into a bit of a controversial topic that may bring some frowns to the faces of some of you, but I urge you to please listen with an open mind and just take the information as it comes. You never know, this information could just resonate with you.
