In this week's episode, Karen and Alex vent about what the higher ups can do to thank all the in-person teachers for their service to the school community and society. It was a rough year, so what better way to say thank you than to hear what's in the wishlist! If the higher ups meet the demands, there most likely won't be many teachers leaving the workforce. In this week's episode, Alex and Karen vent about how its been going ever since the April Opt-In window commenced. In episode 2, they spoke about their worries and why it did not sound like the best idea for hybrid/blended learning models. But now with a few weeks under their belts with the changes and new students that came in through that opt-in, they vent about how things keep changing in their classrooms and what things are NOT changing that they wished did change. In this week's episode, Alex and Karen vent about not feeling prepared after graduating "teacher college". They learned many things in school...but not things they found vital for the real world. Education is not all cute and easy going as they try to make it seem. *Side note- This is about our personal education program experience and are well aware that not all teacher education programs are built the same way. In this week's episode, Karen and Alex went a little light-hearted and instead of venting, reminisce about those times their students said, did, wrote, drew things that caught them off guard or had them laughing so hard. Its things like these that only other teachers would understand, the part of our jobs that can "spark joy" and make us appreciate our students a little more. Check out www.inventingwetrust.com/sys to share your teacher stories with us. We would love to hear from you!

On this week's episode, we vent about the upcoming April opt-in window. Families with fully remote children will now have the opportunity to send their kids back into school and follow a blended/hybrid learning model or even 5x a week. We only vent because we have 3 months left in the school year and shaking things up now may not seem like the best idea. Don't forget to check us out at www.inventingwetrust.com and submit your stories on the topic of the week. We want to hear from you!
We are brand new to the world of podcasting so bear with us. In this episode, we talk about when we knew we wanted to became teachers, what we thought it would be like, and then vent about how it really is. Throw in there that we are currently teaching during COVID and it is not easy! It's our first ever recording and we only hope to improve our sound quality and content, as always, we want to be better for the next one.
