Many believers know that “God is love.” But whether through cultural lies, false beliefs, or years of mulling over the tragedies of the world, it may be difficult to see the true, steadfast, and unchanging love of the Father. Thankfully, the Bible offers a clear picture of what God’s love looks like and how, through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, believers experience His affection for themselves. Pastor and theologian Dr. Sam Storms will address what God’s love is and what it isn’t. Join us as Dr. Storms breaks down obstacles that prevent believers from accepting biblical truths and challenges the cultural lies that hinder them from accepting God’s vast and unfathomable love.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
From the origins of critical theory in the halls of the academy to its use in justifying rioting and arson in the name of a dubious equity agenda, Dr. Douglas Groothuis will join us to unmask the intellectual origins of this mental virus and detail steps rational thinkers can take to combat its insidious spread. What can we do amidst all the controversies over race and gender in society today? Do we have anything constructive to offer the world? As Jesus followers, we do, and today’s program will show you the way.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The inability to say "no" can result in overcommitment, leaving us exhausted and even bitter toward those who make demands on our time and energy. Similarly, compromising our beliefs to keep a relationship can draw us away from who God has made us to be and what he has called us to do. In both cases, we need to be able to set wise boundaries, prioritizing pleasing God rather than pleasing others or even ourselves. Christian counselor Jim Newheiser will offer practical advice for setting appropriate boundaries in our relationships and use real-life scenarios to teach how to manage difficult situations.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Doug Smith knows what goes on behind the tech curtain. He joins us today to discuss a recent event held at a Christian college where a major player in the tech industry posited the idea that AI is "value neutral", but is it? Is progress always good? Is AI designed to 'eliminate poverty' or is that the job of the Church, the government, and the Christ-follower? Join us for a timely and important conversation on the new technology working its way into the Church.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Hour 2: No Turning Back!

2025-10-1145:311

On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we told you about a powerful new documentary that drives home the brutal reality of the October 7th attacks in Israel and the violent evil perpetrated by Hamas, in all its stark, unflinching truth. Then we turned our attention once again to China as we heard about that nations move to create gestational robots to carry human babies to term. We discussed the deeper issues related to the technology as it serves as another step to acceptance of a transhumanist view of mankind, ignoring the unique God given role we have as a part of His divine plan.  Alcoholism and other types of addiction can seem like insurmountable mountains to overcome but our guest opened the door of his personal journey to share how he found true liberty in a deeper dependance on God. He shared a 4-step plan that can lead anyone who struggles with an addiction to true freedom. We stamped your ticked for a radio flight to Australia and another informative visit with our favorite Scottish apologist. He made us aware of some significant changes going on in the U.K. that are opening the door to increased acceptance of Islam and Islamic law and the dangers to religious freedom that acceptance creates for believers. He also uncovered the motivations behind those recent U.K. unity marches.  We gave you an update on how Christians in Iran are faring in these challenging times and we helped you extend your prayer list with our favorite missionary to the entertainment industry as she shared more stories of God moving and changing the lives of the biggest influencers in the world. Like never before humans are being bombarded with messages, ideas, viewpoints, and philosophies on a minute-by-minute basis through social media, the internet and podcasts. You can be forgiven for feeling overwhelmed and confused with all that noise for not knowing which way to turn or making a wrong turn as you navigate your way through today’s marketplace of ideas. That is why we end each week on our program by inviting to come away from the cacophony and spend some time with Janet and Craig as they draw us back to the unfiltered, unwavering, unchanging word of God and teach us how to find and follow His clear voice no matter the issue or challenge we that comes our way.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We started this week on the anniversary of the October 7th attack by Hamas on Israel and her people in 2023. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we turned to our expert on the Jewish people, their history and their prophetic future to talk about the impact of this brutal event, where we stand now in regards to negotiations to end the war and return the hostages and why so many people are turning away from the biblical truth that the Jews are indeed God’s chosen people. We all think of courage as that quality displayed by those who scale great heights or put their lives in danger to save others. But what if one of the most essential types of courage is smaller and more intimate but just as important?  Our guest shared her own journey to discover what it means to address the wounds of life and discover the roadmap to true biblical courage and how that discovery can give each of us the ability to make fearless choices that honor God and bring transformative change to our lives and the lives of others. A highly respected evangelist shared with us the role of the conscious in convicting people of their sin and revealing their need for salvation. Should schools determine the mental well-being of our children? An expert in family matters joined us to explore the deeper implications of a new bill that proposes mental health checks for children and why parents should be highly concerned over such a proposal. We have finally reached the end of another eventful week and it is time once again to focus our attention to the front of our radio classroom as your favorite husband and wife teaching team continue to educate us on the many ways that living our lives with a newspaper in one hand the Bible in the other allows us to cut through the confusion of the many voices vying for our attention in today’s marketplace of ideas so that we can hear the clear clarion call of God’s leading for our lives.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

While the Christian community loves stories of salvation, it struggles with stories of sanctification--the often-messy journey of becoming like Jesus. As a result, many Christians who stumble are mired in shame, especially when it comes to one of society's biggest post-Covid obsessions: alcohol. But there is hope for those willing to rethink their drinking. Jonathon M. Seidl will join us to tell his own story of disordered drinking. Not only will he address the roots of addiction, trauma, and the often-overlooked reality that Christians aren't immune to sin struggles, he will also reframe the term alcoholic and share the practical yet spiritual four-step process he used to break free.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Movements often start in the name of liberating people from their oppressors—capitalists, foreign imperialists, or dictators in their own country. Revolutionaries rally the masses in the name of freedom, only to become more tyrannical than those they replaced. Much has been written about the anatomy of revolution but what is missing is a dissection of the revolutionary minds that destroyed the old for the creation of a more harmful new. Join us as Dr. Donald Critchlow explores basic questions about the revolutionary personality, and examines how these revolutionaries came to envision themselves as prophets of a new age.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Alarming that millions of Christian's will not vote. Their vote for the more Biblical candidate could change the landscape of our country. So sad that they listen to people who turn them away from voting, especially Pastor's.
