Ahoy Froggers,Great to see you back and excited about what we have on this weeks BFRH playlist for you to wrap your ears around.Alvin  Lee Mentions that the tune Good morning little school girl got banned in the USA. The 4 words that got banned in the USA are likely referring to the controversial lyrics of the song "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl." The song's lyrics include lines that have been deemed inappropriate by some, leading to its ban in certain contexts. However, specific words from the song that were banned are not explicitly mentioned in the sources reviewed. The potential word that got it banned is the inclusion of “Little4 tunes from the Alan Lomax recordings over several decades, two were never seen before being released on Blues Songbook, Allman Brothers is from the Dickey Betts era from 1994, two Johnny Winter tunes as we could not decide one over the other and the last one is a Frankie Lee Sims tune.Check out supergroup Spectrum Road, Cindy Blackman Santana, Vernon Reid, Jack Bruce and John Medeski, and all the other good stuff that goes into making this weeks BFRH PlaylistThanks for ListeningBullfrogBFRH_Bullfrog's_Roadhouse_31_st_October_2025 - Duration: 02:06:47BFRH_Opening_ wav ( 6:49) Carlos Johnson - Sometimes I Wonder (07:03) Johnny Winter - Johnny Guitar (04:32) Allman Brothers Band -Change My Way Of Livng_ ( 6:15) Howlin'Wolf - Dust my Broom.wav ( 3:10) I Be's Troubled - Muddy Waters.wav ( 3:15) Rosalie Hill - Rolled and Tumbled.wav ( 2:53) R. l. When it comes to cover versions, the standard is young emerging artists covering established artists. So why is Paul Dempsey covering emerging WA songwriter Carla Geneve on his latest release 'Shotgun Karaoke' Vol 2? Geneve is no stranger to this recognition. One of Australia's finest songwriters Mick Thomas has covered her 2019 track 'Yesterday's Clothes' on his 2025 EP 'First Step in a Homeward Direction'. They've also both had a stab at The Triffids classic 'Wide Open Road'. Geneve's 2022 take on it is inspired songwriting as she subs in her own lyrics to accompany the original melody. On this show we feature Dempsey's cover of 'Dog Eared', Geneve's original of the same song as well as her 'Wide Open Road'. We also have a few tracks from Carla's new album 'Don't Be Afraid'. Dempsey's Vol 1 of 'Shotgun Karaoke' was released 13 years ago and it was a ripper. We'll explore Vol 2 a bit on this show with his cover of Sugar's 'If I Can't Change Your Mind'.There's part 2 of my interview with Georgia Knight and a grab-bag of new releases from the likes of Al Matcott, Nigel Wearne, Floodlights, Magdalena Bay, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Gold Star, Kosmetika, Mega Fäuna, CLEWS and Ladytron.Deezer playlist here

Sandy is back from his travels and joins Michael for this episode.  They both fearlessly take on the theme and play an excellent selection of music - both recent releases and a few classic older tracks.  You will certainly find more than a few tracks that will help you come to grips with "the reality of the situation".
In this episode we look at some of the songs that send a message in the lyrics.
