As reported by the Sunday Independent yesterday, former Ireland senior football manager Eileen Gleeson has launched a landmark legal case against the FAI, the basis of which she suggests is wide-ranging, and is said to stem back well before she took on the role of head coach. Gleeson, who was relieved of that senior coaching post in December, has accused the FAI of discriminating against her due to her gender, as well as that of the team she managed.
