Description
Social and broadcast conventions will be shattered to pieces as Jon and Todd sing, shriek, and simp' their way through the cultural landscape that could be termed an "infinite regress" for the millennial generation. Join this intrepid duo as they comment on the glut of wild and weird animated films birthed in the aftermath of the Silver Age of Disney, just for starters!

Join us for a lil' romp through the Big Apple and beyond as we tackle select eps from the ABC-era of a show with a critical impact on our screwed up sensibilities.

 Miserable
  Eyes on the Prize
*No episodes were harmed during the recording of this episode but some may have had their feelings hurt due to being omitted.
After (another) long hiatus, Jon and Todd are back to discuss some high-to-mid classics from the sprawling catalogue of that daft yellow fam.
S4 E17: Last Exit to Springfield
S8 E23: Homer's Enemy
S12 E9: HOMЯ
...and don't forget all those fine references to the things we're not watching.
Sit in for an extra-long, extra-coherent-for-IR time as we debate Homer's morality, social position, true intelligence, and whether he has ultimately betrayed us like so many of our heroes.
Cheers to Jon for his marvelous metamorphosis (#TheDrunkOnes)!
In the real season 1 finale, Jon and Todd pack all the joy and hardships of the holiday season into an hour-long zoom call. Come once for the bizarre movie that mixes pro-royalist, anti-fascist, and Christian-neutral ideologies, twice for the technical and mental difficulties on Jon's end, and thrice for the thin layer of flop-sweat on Todd's brow!
We conclude our season-long LotR trilogy with the sequel to our inaugural Hobbit ep! Andy joins to steal jokes and reference other podcasts galore, as we jive to the excessive song queues and delightful lore-pulling of this forgotten classic with the GOAT Gollum.
Follow Andy on twitter and listen to his (currently dormant) podcast, Brunch Movies!
Opening song "Return of the King" as made famous by Mack Morrison, vocals by Jon, lyrics by Andy and Jon, Executive Produced by Andy (He got EP? Good for him!)
Lyrics:
(Horn sound) burur bururrooooooooh come on, I'm a horn
Deep within Mordor
Sauron's cruelty had forged
Something dark and powerful
One ring to rule them all
they were all of them deceived
The dwarves the elves and trees
til Isildur cut him down
Who will pick up his crown?
It calls to he
To the only master it has known
It calls to he
And it tries, oh it tries
It calls to he
Even though he's just a big weird eye
It calls to he
Burn his prize burn his prize
Return of the King
STRIDER
Return of the King
FRO-DO
Return of the King
AR-A-GORN
Now we’ll destroy the ring
THE-RE AND
Return of the King
BACK AGAIN
Return of the King
Isildur’s Heir
Return of the King
Watch my flow
Now we’ll destroy the ring
Here I go
So, the fellowship was formed
At the council of EL- ronn
Letting all the people know
The ring bearer was Frodo
But he wouldn't go alone
So he brought some friends along
Sam, Pippen and merry
Strider, Legolas, Gimli
And Boromir
Who had said he'd never turn on him
It called to he
But he did, but he did
It called to he
To ascend the throne atop Gondor
It called to he
But he died but he died
Return of the King
There he is
Return of the King
Gollum
Return of the King
Looking gross
Let's go destroy that ring
My precious
Return of the King
Once again
Return of the King
To Rohan
Return of the King
To Gondor
Let's go destroy that ring (in mount doom)
Master lies to me
But Smegol said that he was true
Master lies to thee
Yes he lies, precious, lies
Master lies to me
Even though I know the precious is cruel
Master lies to thee
Yes he lies, precious, lies
Return of the King
Tree Beard
Return of the King
É-o-wyn
Return of the King
The-o-din
We gotta destroy the ring
And Worm Tongue
Return of the king
Hobbit hole
Return of the king
Watch my flow
Return of the king
I'm there and
Almost destroyed the ring (back again)'
Return of the King
Yes he did
Return of the King
Yes he did
Return of the King
Yes he did
Did you destroy that thing?
Frododo
Return of the King
Yes he did
Return of the King
Yes he did
Return of the King
Yes he did
Frodo destroy the Ring
Rival podcaster Dave joins us to cover the inimitable flying pig man movie of Ghibli fame! In this very special episode, Dave, Jon, and Todd are not unlike the fallen comrades of Porker himself, drifting apart on different wavelengths of creativity, humor, and consciousness.

Jon and Todd take a journey through the glorious pantheon of King of the Hill episodes to find the new savior and hopefully end their infinite regress. (Relax, they fail!)

Our second sojourn into the animated legacy of Tolkien's immortal fantasy series unearths a landscape as tensely divided as the very lands of Rohan and Gondor! Faithful father Brandon graciously guides Todd and Jon's relentless riffing as we attempt to determine who is really deceiving who, the nature of the worst Gollum, and the prognosis for GamGee Syndrom (GGS). Put on your silly-caps and prepare to ignore/froget this innovative but ultimately undercooked epic from the erstwhile* king of adult comedy! (*Current king TBD in a future ep!)
We save the best for first, guests and Disney movies that is! Mike AKA Serge AKA Mr. Jay joins as we cover the Disney MovieToons' millennial classic-cum-sexsploitation fllick, A Goofy Movie. More bad laughs than the titular Coonhound are spillt and reproductive methods are re-defined as our tipsy triumvirate travails through Kevin Lima and Jeffrey Katzenberg's insightful skewering of Americana and furry fetish creation myth unfolds.
Brought to you live* on New Year's Night, Jon and Todd explore the intimate crevices and crevasses of the 1973 cult sci-fi gem, Fantastic Planet. Todd'll sing and that'll make you suddenly think the boys have started trying, but all-in-all this is a chill slip through a tripped-out classic. Strap on your squid hat, and take a deep vape of your cloud sustenance and join us, won't you!
Back again just in time for holidays, Jon and Todd provide incisive commentary into what Mewtwo's struggle for agency says about the Pokemon franchise as a whole and even global capitalism... actually we just reminisce and riff for a while and there's a movie on in the background. That's that infinite regress for ya!
Jinxed Todd and Tipsy Jon reconvene to provide an unauthoritative commentary on the Disney-owned, Kushner-Locke-produced animated classic, The Brave Little Toaster (1987).
As with the film itself, production was troubled and expectations were lowered repeatedly, yet the end product is still better than the majority of works in its artistic field.
Will the rampaging Jon ground-pound Todd into a groundling befitting the namesake of the film's stellar voice cast? Or is Jon himself just a 5G phantasy brought on by Todd's month-long leftover vaccine bender? Tune in and watch along for the answers to neither these nor any other questions!
Jon and Todd join forces for their inaugural regress, and force their way through Rankin and Bass' 1977 animated masterpiece, the Hobbit.
Jaud joins for the first (and last?) time in person to celebrate and rehabilitate one of the unsung villains of  the caped crusader's lore. Technical snafu's abound and Todd's terrifically under-prepared as we careen through the Dark Deco Decorum and get rubbed down with the craziest creme this side of Wendell & Wild! I, Todd, solemnly promise a shorter turnaround to release for the next episode!
