The Air Force Civil Engineer Center is leading the Air Force's effort to protect Airmen by eliminating the need for ADAT teams (Airfield Damage Assessment Team) after an enemy attack. They're doing that by training operational civil engineers to use small aerial drones to assess danger as part of Rapid Airfield Damage Assessment System... or "RAY-DASS". Hundreds gathered for the 49th Annual Explosive Ordnance Disposal Memorial Ceremony at the Navy's Kauffman EOD Training Complex on Eglin Air Force Base on Saturday, May 5th, to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice while performing their duties in service to our country. Ryan Kaono, a support agreement manager with AFIMSC's Logistics Support Branch, shares his story of living with PTSD. From being in the military, his deployments as a security forces Defender and Logistician, and being diagnosed with PTSD, Kaono is very frank about his journey and Romeo, his service dog who is now, in many ways, his lifesaver.
