Inside Edition for Wednesday, March 12, 2025

They've been arch enemies for years and clearly still are. Former talk show host Rosie O’Donnell just moved to Ireland, she says, because she's unhappy President Trump is back in the Oval Office. As for Trump, he's not mincing words himself, telling Rosie - good riddance.  And we're right in the middle of the busy spring break travel period with one in three Americans going on vacation. Now comes a serious warning...if you're stuck on a long flight and don't get up, you could end up with blood clots. It happened to a passenger who almost lost her life midair. Plus, speaking of spring break, it's been nearly a week since a college student went missing in the Dominican Republic. The story of a student vanishing in the Caribbean is reminding many of Natalee Holloway - the teen who disappeared on a beach in Aruba twenty years ago. Her body was never found. And he's a real-life ghost buster who hosts one of the most popular paranormal shows on TV, but there's nothing supernatural about what's happening offscreen. His wife is accused of trying to hire a hitman to have him killed. She says she’s innocent. Former talk show host Wendy Williams is speaking out after she was escorted from her assisted living facility to an ambulance. On Monday, Williams and a health aide called 911 to do a wellness check and that led to a hospital visit where Williams was given a cognitive test. Wendy claims she passed the test answering all 10 questions correctly. And the mystery continues over the University of Pittsburgh student who vanished while on spring break in the Dominican Republic. New video shows her and her friends walking to a beach near their hotel, but she never returned. Plus, it's been a mystery since President Trump's first address to Congress...who was the blonde smiling at Elon Musk? She's now breaking her silence saying she was not flirting. And now the attorney who says she was fired by the Department of Justice after opposing actor Mel Gibson getting his gun back. The actor lost that privilege 14 years ago after being convicted of domestic violence. In recent years, Gibson says he has repeatedly tried to buy a gun but was denied.   To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. Spring break is just getting started for most students and already there's a tragedy, a University of Pittsburgh student has vanished. She was on holiday in the Dominican Republic, and while officials there suspect she may have drowned, her family fears she met with foul play.  And we've told you about all the drama involving TV personality Wendy Williams who says she's being held against her will in an assisted living facility. Now she has dropped a handwritten note from her fifth-floor window begging for help, before being escorted by police to a waiting ambulance. Plus, Saturday Night Live was back with its predictable lampooning of the Trump administration and just as predictably, one of President Trump's top advisors has pronounced the show ... 'Not funny.'  And maybe it would have played on this side of the Atlantic - but when pop star Sabrina Carpenter and her backup dancers did an opening number for the British version of the Grammy Awards- decked out in lingerie- there was a flood of complaints that it was too racy for TV.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. For the second consecutive time, a Space X rocket has exploded shortly after take-off and once again the debris caused dramatic light shows in the sky. This is not good news for Elon Musk - since the failed launch comes just a couple weeks before one of his space crafts is scheduled to bring the astronauts stranded on the space station back to Earth. And now one of the wildest road rage incidents. A woman jumps on the hood of a car, rips off the windshield wipers, all while threatening the life of the other driver. Plus, the woman on trial accused of driving drunk and crashing into a birthday party killing two children has just been found guilty, and a video shown to jurors is said to have sealed her fate. It shows her just minutes before the crash wandering around her home drinking wine. And she gave birth to the world’s first surviving octuplets, then became known as Octomom. At 99 Minutes, President Trump's address to Congress was the longest in history. He declared - America is back -while boasting about his avalanche of executive orders. But not everyone in the crowd was on team trump. A number of Democrats interrupted the president throughout his speech including one congressman who was so boisterous, he was escorted out! And imagine being home when a swat team knocks on the door and enters with guns drawn. It happened to a family including two terrified grandchildren who held on to each other for support.   Plus, mystery continues over the deaths of actor Gene Hackman and his wife. As we've reported, one of the couples beloved dogs was also found dead. Now an animal chiropractor who treated Hackman's dogs for almost two decades is saying the facts of the case just don't add up. And she's been called the “doomsday mom”...Lori Vallow is serving life in prison for the murder of two of her children. Why were there pills scattered on a counter? And why was the front door ajar? Plus, 911 operators deal with all sorts of emergencies, but this was a new one...the caller needed help right away because a pigeon was in her house. Plus, a horrific hit and run and cops say an Amazon driver is to blame. A woman was struck by the delivery truck and then nearby doorbell cameras show the driver getting out looking at the woman on the ground screaming and then leaving the scene. Last night Jane Fonda received a lifetime achievement award at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. The 87-year-old actress used the opportunity to deliver a politically charged speech. She didn't mention President Trump by name, but it was very clear who she was talking about. And thousands of federal workers are out of a job today and word is, more firings are to come. Some found out they had no job when they could no longer access their email. That's not the way to let an employee go. Plus, staff at a hospital in Pennsylvania are still reeling after a weekend shooting in the intensive care unit that left one police officer dead, and several hospital workers injured. The suspect - who was killed in the shootout - had recently lost a family member in the unit. And egg prices are expected to jump 20% this year, so people are going to great lengths to get them. If you saw this past weekend's Saturday Night Live anniversary special, you may have noticed how tightly packed the studio was. Now Steve Martins says least two of the big stars tested positive for Covid-19. A skit during the show actually joked about the possibility. And there hasn't been a hockey game so political since the U.S. faced off against the Soviet Union in the 1980 “Miracle on Ice.” Last night's match up between the U.S. and Canada was preceded by plenty of bluster by President Trump - and though it was a close one, in the end, Canada won. And that's given Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau plenty of ammo to fire back at Mr. Trump. Plus, Elon Musk was seen swinging a giant chainsaw at the CPAC Convention. His dramatic appearance comes as the mother of three of his children is desperately trying to get his attention. She says he's not responding to her texts or emails - so now she's resorting to social media. And scores of people lined up outside a Manhattan court today for a seat inside court for an appearance by suspected HealthCare CEO assassin Luigi Mangione. Not guilty. That was the verdict --as a jury acquitted rapper Asap Rocky of felony gun charges that could have landed him in jail for more than 20 years. When the jury announced their decision, a joyful Rocky jumped over the courtroom rail and into the arms of his partner, singer Rihanna. And an Arizona woman is grateful to be alive today, after she was hit from behind by a cement truck and trapped inside her vehicle as it caught fire. Fortunately, two good Samaritans stopped. Incredibly one of them was an off duty firefighter who happened to have his gear with him. Plus, when that Delta jet flipped on landing in Toronto the other day - it was a combination of safety protocols and luck that no one died. But once passengers escaped the burning plane, there was a new concern: the bitter cold! Taking a cue from penguins, they huddled together - and it worked. The investigation continues into yesterday's plane crash in Toronto in which a Delta jet somehow flipped onto its roof after landing on an icy and windy runway. Incredibly all 80 passengers and the crew got out alive, thanks in no small part to some heroes on board. A number of passengers stepped up and worked with the flight crew to get everyone out safely. We've told you about break-ins at the homes of athletes while they're at games. Now it's happened to Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban while they were in Las Vegas for Keith's concert residency. The couple has multiple homes, but the burglary happened at their house in California. Plus, the Stanley Cup is the top prize in hockey. It is also the name of a wildly popular -- and pretty expensive - insulated drinking mug. And it's no surprise the drinking cups have become a target of thieves. And three and a half years ago, America was obsessed with the disappearance of Gabby Petito, the young woman who was murdered by her boyfriend while out on a road trip. The second part of the one-two punch has hit the Los Angeles area. After last month’s devastating wildfires, residents are now being pummeled by torrential rains -- sparking mudslides, inundating roads and even sweeping vehicles into the Pacific Ocean. The rains and the resulting destruction were expected. And when President Trump returned to the oval office, he did some decorating, as most presidents do. But no commander in chief has ever had a mug shot to hang right outside the oval office. Plus, troubling development in the case of the sports reporter found dead in his hotel room during the Super Bowl. A New Orleans woman police say was using the victims credit card was previously arrested three years ago in a similar case in which a victim was drugged and robbed. That man was outraged the culprit wasn't put behind bars in his case. And an 87-year-old widower who didn't want to just sit home alone decided to throw a winter party. Hippos are one of the most dangerous animals in the world -- killing about 500 people a year. Now an American woman is one of those statistics. She was on safari with her husband, standing by a river when a hippo charged and attacked her. Now her husband is suing the tour company. The tour company tells us that the couple was accompanied by an experienced professional guide and that all safety measures had been implemented both before and during the attack. And he never attended a Kennedy Center event the first time he was president, but now that he's back in the white house, Donald Trump has named himself chairman of the organization. And -- he's fired the person who's been running it and stacked the board with people loyal to him. Plus, it's happening around the country… owners and dealers of the Tesla cybertruck are finding their vehicles vandalized. Some speculate it has to do with Elon Musk's high profile around President Trump. And when our reporter Alison Hall was out covering a story 'on' breast cancer, she found out she 'had' breast cancer.
