Unsurprisingly, McLaren win the 2025 Formula 1 Constructors' Championship, equaling Red Bull Racing's record of least races taken to win the teams' title. Surprisingly, George Russell scored his first win around the streets of Singapore - building on a classic pole lap from Saturday. He was unmatched on Sunday, as Max Verstappen, in second, couldn't charge further, and held back the "faster" McLaren of Lando Norris. The Ferrari duo struggled with brake wear issues with Lewis Hamilton picking up a post-race time penalty of 5 seconds. Fernando Alonso, who was furious with Hamilton's "track limit" violations had a feisty race with a slow pit stop. Carlos Sainz went from P18 to the points after Alexander Albon's team work helped keep Liam Lawson at bay. 6, if not 7, drivers racing in the 2024 Formula 1 Season will be enjoying a farewell at the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz, Franco Colapinto, Kevin Magnussen, Zhou Guanyu, Valtteri Bottas...and maybe, Sergio Perez? And of course, three drivers haven't had a farewell in 2024 - Daniel Ricciardo, Logan Sargeant and Esteban Ocon. Luckily, we will see OCO back in Formula 1 with Haas in a tyre test after Abu Dhabi. In this episode of the Inside Line F1 Podcast,  @f1statsguru  and Kunal Shah preview the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. 9 out of the last 12 races have been won from pole, and 11 (of these 12) have been won from the front row. Half of the 10 Constructors' Championship standings could change after this Sunday's race - McLaren vs. Ferrari for P1, while Alpine, Haas and Racing Bulls are battling for P6. The lesser hyped battle is the one for P2 in the Drivers' Championship between Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc. Could Norris go from battling Max Verstappen for P1 to losing P2 to Leclerc? This is the 2024 Formula 1 season and stranger things have happened. But for everyone's sake (and sanity), let's hope that all battles are settled fairly and justly...and without the intervention of the FIA. Tune in! It's not the McLarens that could stop Max Verstappen from finally winning in Singapore. So what could stop him? Also, which driver could bring out the Safety Car in Singapore? Has Oscar Piastri recovered from the team orders saga in Monza and has he left the demons from Baku behind? Lando Norris' best race of 2024 was Singapore last year. He will need another solid race to build his Drivers' Championship title further. Rain, heat, humidity, Safety Cars, barriers, racing under the lights - just some of the variables in play for every Singapore Grand Prix. Who will win in 2025? Let's relive the race because this weekend has more than delivered. So much to talk about, so little time. But let's get into it shall we? Join Kunal Shah, Soumil Arora, and Sundaram Ramaswami live on the Inside Line F1 Podcast. Max Verstappen - is there anything the Dutchman can’t do in his Red Bull Racing RB21? Verstappen scored back to back wins for the first time since Canada-Spain 2004! Can he make a late challenge for the F1 title in 2025, and if not, at least for P2? McLaren’s underwhelming weekend overall, Oscar Piastri’s jump start & crash, Lando Norris’ inability to make inroads into the top-5 & capitalise on Piastri’s no-score. Ferrari’s strange lack of pace, Lewis Hamilton-Charles Leclerc swap but not swap back, a missed chance for the Scuderia? They lost P2 to Mercedes in the Constructors’ Championship! Williams’ fine show by Carlos Sainz, but when will they fire with both drivers!? Liam Lawson’s defence, Yuki Tsunoda’s DRS train ways to best-result with Red Bull Racing, an unwell George Russell’s podium with Mercedes and Kimi Antonelli being on the pace. #F1 #F12025 #AzerbaijanGP #Baku #MaxVerstappen #OscarPiastri #CarlosSainz Learn more about your ad choices. The most-interesting stories and talking points to look out for from the 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Max Verstappen-Red Bull Racing, have they found something in the setup that can bring them in the fight between the McLaren drivers? Can Verstappen and his legion of fans believe in a (very) late title fight in the 2025 Formula 1 season? As for Ferrari, Charles Leclerc will be the favourite for pole position, but can he finally convert a pole to win around the streets of Baku? Leclerc has scored 4 consecutive pole positions for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, but has converted none of them into race wins. Will Ferrari be in the fight, can they maximise a race weekend performance, or will the bumpy streets of Baku catch them out? McLaren can win the 2025 Formula 1 Constructors' Championship in Baku by scoring a 1-2 finish, and if they do so, they will be the "fastest" team to win the title in the season - with 7 races to go. However, will "papaya rules" (or "papaya mess") be in focus yet again on a weekend they can make history? Oscar Piastri & Lando Norris have been equally matched for several races, and that should continue in Baku. As for the mid-field, there's a high percentage chance that one of the teams could spring a surprise podium, after all, we have had surprise podium visitors and plenty of weird moments in Baku - which is also the highlight of the preview show for the 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. #F1 #F12025 #AzerbaijanGP #Baku Learn more about your ad choices. Did McLaren do the right thing? No, not for Oscar Piastri alone, but even for Formula 1? How much is too much when it comes to being "fair" in their intra-team battle? Will McLaren "engineer" a DNF for Piastri to make things fair after Lando Norris' DNF from Zandvoort? What if McLaren's stop for Norris was 15s slow? How would they have handled the "papaya rules" and driver swap? McLaren's team orders saga shouldn't take away from one key fact - Max Verstappen & Red Bull Racing dominated the Italian Grand Prix in Monza. We can bet that this was one dominant display by Verstappen-Red Bull that most fans enjoyed! Soumil Arora and Kunal Shah dissect the 2025 Italian Grand Prix where we saw Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing dominate. But how did Red Bull Racing rise up to be the class of the field? #F1 #F12025 #ItalianGP #Monza Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Can Ferrari do the unthinkable at win at home in Monza in front of the tifosi? Of the top-4 teams, there's only one team yet to score a win - Ferrari. Oscar Piastri is more than a full race win ahead of Lando Norris in terms of championship points. Will this situation see a change of approach from either McLaren driver? Can Lando Norris just "send it" and see if it sticks? If the Drivers' Championship battle seems settled to you, we tell you the other narratives to follow in Formula 1 starting from the 2025 Italian Grand Prix. #F1 #F12025 #ItalianGP #Monza Learn more about your ad choices. The 2025 Dutch Grand Prix had it all - a maiden podium, surprise DNFs, a bold Max Verstappen, the Orange Army, an over ambitious teenager & lots of "lucky" strategy under the 3 x Safety Car periods. Ferrari's double DNF, Lewis Hamilton's driver error leading to a crash & retirement, Andrea Kimi Antonelli's crash with Charles Leclerc, Leclerc's spirited overtake on George Russell, and the Sainz-Lawson incident. Lots of talking points from the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix. Oscar Piastri won the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix from pole and led every lap of the race. However, Lando Norris' unexpected (and unfair) power unit failure swung the points gap to 34 points. A championship deciding power unit failure, is it? Lewis Hamilton handed a 5 place grid drop for the 2025 Italian Grand Prix, Ferrari's home race, for failing to slow down for "double yellow" flags on the reconnaissance laps to the grid. Basically, Hamilton was penalised for his pre-race actions on grounds of safety. After a mandatory "holiday", Formula 1 is back this weekend with the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix. Yes, Max Verstappen's home race. What are the key talking points this weekend? What will the media play up, and what will the teams play down? Also, we're racing at a legendary circuit - Zandvoort. Enjoy it as long as it lasts! Will rain "Unleash the Lion" aka Max Verstappen at home in front of the Orange Army? Could the cooler conditions bring Mercedes into contention, and similarly, will Ferrari have used the summer break wisely to add a spring to their step? As for McLaren, the Drivers' Championship battle between Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris resumes at Zandvoort. Will the summer break have halted Norris' momentum (he won 3 out of 4 races prior to the summer break)? Lots in store this weekend, including overtaking moves at Turn 1, Turn 3 and maybe the Turn 11-12 sequence? Pirelli is bringing tyre compounds that are one step softer than last year + the pit lane speed limit is up from 60 kmph to 80 kmph. We will see a variety of race strategy at play, and this could spice up the action on-track and in the pit lane. Soumil Arora and Kunal Shah preview the upcoming 2025 Dutch Grand Prix. #F1 #F12025 #DutchGP Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Oscar Piastri has lost two race wins to Lando Norris purely on luck! First, Silverstone, and second was today in Hungary. We predicted this "race strategy situation" in our race preview. The second McLaren (Norris, in this case) on the road would get the favoured tyre strategy in the race while the first McLaren (Piastri, in this case) would go chase Charles Leclerc for the race win. Was McLaren fair with their drivers who are the only two contenders for the Drivers' Championship in 2025? Did McLaren favour one driver or the other in the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix? Or did they maximise the team's result of a 1-2 finish irrespective of which driver finished first? And finally, was Norris a lucky winner of the Hungarian Grand Prix, a race where was the "slower" of the two McLarens and was in fact overtaken by two other cars (George Russell & Fernando Alonso) at the race start? Btw, Norris was very lucky that Alonso chose to not battle with him when the DRS was enabled. Why? Alonso, who was also on the one-stop, was the thorn in everyone else's race strategy. He executed a "Monaco-style" strategy at the Hungaroring (also known as "Monaco without the walls"). He bunched up the field and messed up tyre strategy for the other midfielders. Fair play to Aston Martin & Alonso who scored the team's best result of the season and maximised their points to jump two spots in the Constructors' Championship. Finally, Charles Leclerc revealed that the mysterious issue that he faced in the race wasn't the "front wing" adjustment at his pit stop, but in fact, an issue with his chassis that compromised his pace. Leclerc continued to not add to his already embarrassing "pole to win" conversion rate in Formula 1. Lewis Hamilton, on the other hand, had another race to forget. He was one of those who was done in by Alonso's "slow pace" to finish 5th strategy. Sauber's Gabriel Bortoleto impressed throughout the weekend and was the "Driver of the Day". As the summer break looms upon us, the question is whether Lando Norris will be comfortable knowing that he's brought the gap down to just 9 points, or whether he will know at the back of his head that Oscar Piastri would've actually been further ahead in the title battle if he was a tad bit luckier in two races - Silverstone and Hungary. Soumil Arora and Kunal Shah discuss the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix and how it all played out in strategy. #F1 #F12025 #HungarianGP Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Charles Leclerc grabbed a surprise pole position, his first of the 2025 Formula season, at the Hungaroring. But does he have the pace to win the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix against the mighty McLarens? On the contrary, does McLaren have a pace advantage that allows them to overtake Leclerc around a circuit that's famously known as "Monaco without the walls". How did McLaren lose their competitive advantage in the qualifying hour? What transpired in Q3 that brought Leclerc & Ferrari into play? And of course, why did Lewis Hamilton say he's "useless" and that Ferrari need a change in driver? Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen's magic saw him in Q3, but qualify behind a Sauber! Gabriel Bortoleto continued to impress with yet another Q3 session, while his team-mate and "Mr. Saturday" Nico Hulkenberg is now tied with Lance Stroll with the maximum Q1 exits in 2025. Is Aston Martin's pace for real, and if so, where did it come from? A double points finish in the race will propel them in tight the Constructors' Championship battle. Soumil Arora and Kunal Shah discuss the Qualifying session from the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix and look forward to the race & tyre strategy options for Sunday's race. #F1 #F12025 #HungarianGP Learn more about your ad choices. What does your F1 2026 grid look like? Will Max Verstappen race for Mercedes, or will he stick to racing with Red Bull? Soumil Arora and Kunal Shah predict the F1 2026 grid on the Inside Line F1 Podcast. Should Max Verstappen leave Red Bull Racing, will another top driver be willing to take the risk to racing for the team while they're in their rebuilding phase? As one of our viewers put it, should Charles Leclerc go to Red Bull Racing? McLaren & Ferrari might be the only two teams with the same line-up for F1 2026; could Nico Hulkenberg finally get a shot at a top team next season? Sergio Perez's return to Formula 1 with Cadillac seems almost certain, but could Mick Schumacher be his team-mate with an American racer as a third driver? Valtteri Bottas may have two choices - Alpine and Cadillac, but if Carlos Sainz departs for Red Bull Racing in 2026, could Williams also be an option for Bottas? The F1 2026 grid might get a complete shake-up because of Max Verstappen's possible move to Mercedes and the addition of 2 new seats to the grid via Cadillac. I think it is quite optimistic to expect the F1 Grand Prix to start in June. if you look at the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic in europe and in the USA I I can't begin to understand how one could hope it would start before September.

I’ve been following this Inside Line F1 Podcast, and it absolutely fantastic. Their pronunciations are off sometimes but the content is funny, engaging and thoroughly entertaining and at the same time keeps me updated on what’s happening so who cares! The content is so well researched too. Big fan. I look forward to it on the train each week. Totally worth the time. If you’re uptight about pronunciations stay away otherwise go for it.

I do not enjoy this podcast. The presenters cannot say most of the drivers, cars or team principals names correctly such as 'Wettel' not 'Vettel' and 'Arrivaben' instead of 'Arrivabene'. This is also marketed as an F1 podcast but love to talk about FE (which I like the sport but is on the whiny podcast). The insights are very basic and makes me wonder how much 'inside' knowledge they have as suggested by the name of the show
