Vanakkam/ Namaste/Hello Everyone! We are back with another episode of #insidethemindsofgreatyogis. In this episode, We spoke with Gowri Murthy on the 83rd episode and loved hearing her perspective on yoga! About Gowri: Gowri Murthy is a fervent classical dancer and yoga practitioner brimmed with great reverence to art. Born in an art loving family, she started her journey in movement through Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi under the tutelage of her beloved aunt and Guru, Dr Veena Murthy Vijay. Consistently involved in sports and other co- curricular activities, Gowri's passion for building community and sharing her knowledge of movement arts grew over the years. Yoga has always been a big part of Gowri's life and it took a good swing during the first wave of COVID. After practicing Vinyasa yoga for years, she decided to start teaching and that only pushed her to achieve and learn more in the field of Yoga. She went on to pursue her RYT 200hr certification in Ashtanga, hatha and vinyasa yoga in the yog capital of the world, Rishikesh. She continues to attend Abhyasa bootcamps in Mysore from time to time to continue her Sadhana. Acquiring deeper understanding of the age old YOGA, she seeks to bring out the real essence of yoga to the world that is lost in today's modernised version of complicated poses and weight loss practices. More than 5000 years ago, yoga was made for everyone to practice and that's what she wants to bring back to the community - for everyone to know that they always have access to yoga, literally in every single thing that that they do.A big thank you to Gowri for joining us in our 83rd episode of #insidethemindsofgreatyogis and for giving us her valuable time.
