They separate after getting into an alchemy-enhanced argument about what they should do next. Alphonse then bumps into an old acquaintance, Marta. Meanwhile, Winry meets with Sheska in Central, and the two decide to launch their own investigation into the murder of Hughes. They discover what Hughes had discovered about Juliet Douglas, and then eavesdrop on a conversation she has with Envy.
