Description
"The Officer's Wife" is now "Intent: The Tex McIver Case."
Investigators in Atlanta have always known who shot successful Atlanta businesswoman Diane McIver in Sept. 2016—and so did she. Diane was shot by her husband, Tex McIver, and she knew it was him because she handed him the gun. But Tex says he doesn’t know how the gun went off, and Diane’s death was a terrible accident.
It’s a story Tex McIver has always stood by: he loved his wife, and he never would have harmed her on purpose. But is that story true or was there more to the McIvers’ relationship than even their closest friends might have realized?
11Alive WXIA News Reporter Kaitlyn Ross and VAULT Studios investigate the shooting, its aftermath and a trial that captivated Atlanta.
“Intent: The Tex McIver Case” launches Aug. 22 on the same feed where you listened to “The Officer’s Wife.”

once again this shows how prosecutors will just destroy lives without hesitation and without evidence
I love when it shows he's not guilty of the police are like well polygraphs they're not really worth a shit but if it's show that he had deception that they would be like polygraphs are the best thing in the world
Never having a harsh word while being married is not normal. It's normal to have arguments sometimes. It's just being human.

that police chief must be part of "the good ole boys" club. he's clearly defending everything about Matthew.
He used the pillow the catch the blood from the head wound, which is why there was no splatter on the wall. After he shot her, he placed her body on a blanket or towel with its end stuffed under the door so he could reach it from the other side, then closed the door and pulled the towel out from under her so her body was pressed up against the door on the inside. Then all he needed to do was lock the door to make it look like she was alone in the closet and had shot herself. Totally premeditated and staged. He got away with it, too.
When he says "I don't know what I was thinking", that's a damn lie - Clearly he was thinking he was above the law because he was a cop.
What kind of guy calls the police department to tattle on his wife every time they have an argument? A sanctimonious prick: this guy.
I listened to the entire thing then come to this one and it doesn't play due to a broken source 😭
Every time I hear "GBI" ... I know it's gonna be some corrupt shit going down. Just disgusting.
Is there cell tower pings to corroborate his story of driving 90 mph to get to his wife since he was texting his gf at that time?
I’m not saying she died by suicide but it is so harmful for her friend to say “she loved her kids too much to kill herself.” People who die by suicide don’t love their kids less than anyone else.
Omg it was soooooo aggravating listening to the responses to the reporter.
He wasn't even smart enough to dump the bag, but somehow got away with murder.
She didn't do it. He did it it's so effing obvious!! They are FACTS!!!!!
1st 30 seconds of hearing his 911 call I say he is guilty aF
Not a very exciting podcast. Not terrible but not great. 2/5
Why, Oh Why, didn't Mathew kill Megan. She is so fucking annoying.
I don't see this as cop bashing at all! I think it's another podcast that's trying to illuminate domestic violence, he just happens to be a cop...whose friends are covering it up purely because they don't believe he's capable of doing it. It's the same old story no matter if he's a cop or not. Thank God for the journalists and I hope that the GBI gets investigated yet another time! Given how vindictive he was to keep her gym bag and her retainer and such for so long and LIE about it to the point that he loses his job, I hope he doesn't end up being one of those dads that kills the kids to get back at his wife.
yep. I smell smell some home cooking
