In regards to Brandon getting popular around the time of the MCU, I don't think it's the multiverse factor as much as he thinks it is. As a reader you'll typically know within the first few pages if you'll enjoy an author. In my case it was always the sense of humor/sarcasm, the fact that he doesn't drone on (cough*Steven Erickson*cough), and that he delivers good plot twists with his endings. He is consistently delivering quality in every single book and that is why he continues to gain popularity rather than having it... wax and wane...

I love all the ways Brandon uses his time signing things: free lectures that make me a better writer and person, whatever; free bs about popcorn and k-pop, worth every non-fungible token I've never bought :~)
