Were finally back after a long break! As usual, we jumped into all the newer stuff we've been listening to and then talked about the Decibel Magazine tour, & got a collection update from Stan. We finished off with an interview with Luca Indrio of Necrot about the new album Lifeless Birth. We got into all the issues the band had to go through between the last album and this one, carving there own identify in death metal, keeping there songs memorable, and at the end messed around with some band vs. band and album vs. album questions. For this one I was joined by two awesome people to talk REAL country music from a more metal perspective. For the first half of the episode I talked with my friend Jake Walters who is a long time listener, writer/editor for Lambgoat and writer for Everything is Noise to highlight some of the great newer country that you wont hear on the radio & for the 2nd half I was joined by Nate Garrett of Spirit Adrift to dive a little more into the classics (as well as some new stuff) and his overall journey with Country music. We also dove a bit into the awesome new Spirit Adrift album "Ghost at the Gallows" Watch the video interview with Nate over on our YouTube page: YouTube Other Links to listen: iTunes Google Play Spotify Stitcher

I finally got the chance to speak with the bass god himself - Steve Digorgio before a show for Death to All. I stuck with the Death theme for this one so we went way back to how he met Chuck, how he was in and out of the band even from the early days, writing/recording Human & Individual Thought Patterns, his friendship with Chuck, what it was like working with Chuck near the end of his life, working on Control Denied, & even his experience working on the latest Megadeath album. I recently talked to Tanner Anderson, Carl Skildum, & Matt Kirkwold who have come together to form a great new project called Majesties centered around the golden era of 90s melodic death metal. We talked a lot about melodic death metal in general - both the good and the bad, how this band got started, there goals, underrated melodic death metal albums and a lot more. For episode 131 we did a discography ranking and discussion of one of our favorite bands - Immortal. There was only one way to do this properly and that was to tap into the grim and frostbitten spirit of Blashyrkh by adorning our faces with the war paint of old and channeling the Northern Chaos Gods. There was an ice storm across the country the day we recorded this and I think this was no coincidence.
