Exploring the world of wine one episode at a time.
From a view point of a sommelier and serial wine traveller.
Nerdiness level: beginner, sommelier level: medium, excitement level: advanced!

I'm a sommelier from Kazakhstan, currently working and studying in France. I have an undying passion to explore every wine corner in this world and share it with you - one episode at a time.

I also specialise in marketing, communications, PR and events. Bringing in past experience in Human Ressources, I'm curios about people in wine and their stories.

A serial wine pins&diplomas collector: DipWSET with Merit, Weinakademiker, Italian Wine Ambassador, Cava Advanced Educator, finalist of Best Sommelier of Kazakhstan, completed courses on: Champagne, Burgundy, Jerez, Swiss Wines, Wines of South Africa, Wines of Australia, Rioja... More coming;)

Episode 6: Science of Wine with Nicholas Spencer 🤓🍷Oh the roads that lead us into the wine world, who would have thought that being stuck for months in a winery during the pandemic would result in a DipWSET certification and WeinAkademiker title for Nicholas 😅Jokes aside, this is a truly an episode that I’m most proud of. Not because of myself, but of how generous and passionate Nic is in sharing his insights into the science of wine. 🥹🍷This could have easily been a five-hour episode of my pe...
🎧Episode 5: Wine communication 🗣️In this first little anniversary episode I’m talking about one of my favorite things- wine communication! 🥳Episode 5 marks the first important milestone for me - five full episodes aired to date, with more than 540 downloads 🤪 I feel more confident in continuing on this podcast adventure with you. 💪🏻 I have explored different platforms (adding YouTube podcasts for your convenience recently), talked about wine topics with incredible speakers and already planned...

In many cases we think about technical knowledge like appellations, vintages, producers, labels...But the more sommeliers I meet and more wine events I help organising, I tend to think that the personal qualities and soft skills sometimes make a bigger difference. So much focus in sommelier profession is put on achievements, but few speak about preparation of the mental and physical aspects of y...
Episode 3: Getting certified with Valeria Tenison 📜Just listing her titles, degrees and certifications will probably take the whole post 😅 So, definitely, Valeria is the person to speak about getting certified in the wine world 🍷 In this episode of Introvert Wine Podcast we chat about different ways of getting certified in the wine industry, types of programs, duration, costs and other important details (like, ROI 💰💰💰)! What to take into consideration and our own experiences 😉🚨Аттеншн, с...
Episode 2: the language of wine If you work in wine, you’ll have to deal with foreign languages. Even if you are a native speaker, reading/learning/pronouncing French, Italian, German wines and grapes correctly is the minimum you should consider.Wine is a cultural product, it has travelled, witnessed and survived many historical events, of course, it has myths and legends that surround it. Sometimes, knowing the translation of the name of a grape variety can shed some light on its past.D...
