Join me in this captivating episode of my podcast, "The Dax Effect: From Skeptic to Superfan, One Track at a Time." I kick off the show with a supposedly funny story about my dad and I, before I introduce myself. π€
I confess my initial turn-off when I stumbled upon a music video by Dax, the rapper. The combination of bold visuals and below par act, left me skeptical and unsure about his music. However, as fate would have it, years later, another music video changed my entire perception of Dax.
Throughout the episode, I delve into the transformative power of music and how that one particular video altered my opinion completely. The episode is filled with witty observations, and a sprinkle of self-reflection, as I navigate through the twists and turns of my evolving relationship with Dax's music.
In addition to sharing my personal journey, I liven up the episode with intriguing trivia. I drop a fascinating "do you know" fact about the Russians, adding an extra layer of entertainment and educational value to the discussion.
To keep things lively and avoid monotony, I incorporate well-timed music breaks. These interludes serve as smooth transitions between my discussions, ensuring an engaging listening experience.
So, buckle up and join me as I recount my humorous, inspiring, and unexpected adventure from being a skeptic to becoming a fan, all while exploring the profound impact of music and the surprising ways it can change our perspectives.
From deciding what music video to do next, to mulling over how it would go, to finding the right time to record (considering data and a conducive environment), to finally recording, to editing, then publishing... There was finally a changeover! I think I'm getting better at podcasting. Na to jaiye remain. Or not. I still have work to do. Headphone is advised for optimal listening. PS: Can you guess what my midnight snack was?
This one is a long one because I told a little story about how I landed myself in this music video I'm discussing. No judgements but I am a little more critical about the music video because I was involved. Listen and give me your feedback. I'd love to hear from you. Instrumentals from Muyiwa Adigun and Jon Bellion helped me segue from one discussion to the other. And of course the song for the music video itself. π
Believe me, this is the last unattended to record in my draft. From here on, freshly recorded episodes, I shall serve. Haq! Not true. I'll still create a draft of recordings sha. Because I'm a Nigerian making do with what she has and my present environment doesn't give me room to flex and record any time I'm ready. So, please, enjoy this episode. I'm getting better and I do not hope to stop. As always, your unpopular entertainment celebrity says to give her your feedback. Thanks, lovelies. ππ
This one has long been in my drafts. Working on it now, I can say I'm proud of me. I'm getting better at this and I'm glad that I'm pushing irrespective of my challenges. I shall keep keeping on, y'all. Get back to me, tell me what you think about this episode. And tell me about the music videos that stand out for you. Let me in on your interest too. π As always, your unpopular entertainment celebrity loves you. π
Recorded on the 30th of December, 2021. Finally edited on the 22nd of February, 2022. What happened in between? I procrastinated, I got stuck on what music would fit, I got overwhelmed on the stretch of splits I had to edit. I mean, having kids work on a project is not for the weak hearted. Believe me, not everything recorded made it to the final edit. And I have to say, I haven't gone so far but this is by far the most complex podcast to edit. Me and kids don't really go well, y'all. However, during my hiatus, I got to find some pretty dope music. They literally get me on a high. And here I am after countless breakdown and reaffirming my sanity, an overdue podcast episode I present. My darlings were exciting and loud. So, I advice you not to have your volume really up. I hope y'all laugh, cringe, awwn and above all enjoy it. I'm not sure of another episode with kids, though. πͺ BTW, Shaed and Jon Bellion threw up musical magic on this episode. Will you thank them for me? Hehπ€
Prolly by some Christmas miracle, I felt less anxious during this recording. But I got interrupted multiple times. So, add interruption to my list of vices. This is my Christmas message to y'all lovelies. Chance the rapper and Jeiel Damina made the trip to spice up this festive episode with their lovely sounds. And @BallspediaTV is responsible for making my cover pop. Enjoy the short listen and have you an Amazing Christmas. βπΎ
How do I really put this? π€ I enjoyed recording this even though I still get anxious whenever I'm in a recording session. My throat threatens to close up, I slip on my own words, I trail off pondering what it was I wanted to say. Buh, inspite of all that, I go easy on myself and let her do what she can do then let me handle the edits. Lovelies, I'd be foolish if I don't let you indulge me after my ordeal with my vices. So, thank you for listening to me. Give me your feedback. Okay? Ok ππΎπ
After lots and lots of pondering, I finally picked a topic to stick with for a while. Don't judge my indecision. There are just too many potential creativity. π Many times I have a lot of favorite things. π π
Feeling a little unsure of how to get to doing podcasts again, I began this episode with bloopers. I added a little spice to them and I just did something in the spur of the moment. If you listen to the episode on the 'faster' speed, it might give you the feel of being in a jazz club with me telling you about my day. I invited Riles and Jacob Banks to help me with my transitions too. I hope you enjoy this episode. Dueces βπΎ
Welcome to "Quiz Me, Baby, One More Time" - the episode where I spill the tea on my favorite things, greatest achievements, and what I love to see in my man. Want to know more about me? Just ask! And don't worry, I won't bite...much.
π€
Throughout the episode, I'll be using snippets of songs from amazing artists like Black Sherif, Ayra Starr, Doja Cat, Iniko, and Beautiful Eulogy to keep the ball rolling. And speaking of ball, let's get the questions rolling!
If you want to hear me dish on a specific topic, or if you just want to say hi, send your questions to: ayorindefelicia702@gmail.com or @miblackebony. Who knows? You might just hear your name on the next episode.
Thanks for tuning in, and don't forget to give me feedbacks. Let's get this show on the road! π€πΎ
You have probably asked if you could know me more before or prolly just told me to tell you more about myself. And we both know how that ended. And maybe it wasn't me, maybe it was someone else. One thing is for sure, you can't know 'more' if you don't ask the questions. In this episode, I treated a March challenge questionnaire to document information about me. That's me killing two stones with one bird. π As there is more to know, feel free to share with me, curated questions about stuff you'd like to know and I'll do my due diligence. π Muyiwa Adigun visited the studio to give me a grand exit with his song titled 'Pelumi'.
In a world of many similar options, knowing what each option offers goes a long way in helping you make your decision. Here I am again, your dutiful unpaid tattler, to give you healthy information to help you better understand and make profitable decisions. π And you know me, always chilling with the big boys. BTS showed me love on this episode with a full performance, while Willow Smith and Muyiwa Adigun made an appearance to help me transition. As always, give me your feedback and let me know what you'd like to get more insight on. πππΎ
Some info are insider's information. But, here I am, your unpaid tattler, giving you za juice. ππ We both know there's more to know, so, ask away. I'm here for you. And, of course, I gave Johnny Drille a call to help me transition from one discussion to another and he honored me. Taylor Swift checked in with me also. π It's the love for me. π€π
How do you deal with hard knock realizations? Decisions you can't turn back from? Reality and lessons came in the same package for me and, I suppose I took it well. π The resurrection power crew ft. Bada Agnes helped me segue smoothly into my discussions. A little bit of the trendy 'otilo' made it to the board too. And Wisdom Chigozie gave this episode a vibrant close. I definitely enjoyed recording this episode and I'd love to get your thoughts on it. Have a beautiful listen, lovelies. π
