Description
This podcast is here to help create a level of communication between like minded people, for us to understand that we all have a bad day and hard periods of times in our lives. I want to help encourage listeners to be open, honest and vulnerable to change and believe that tomorrow can be a better day for all of us. It is not uncommon for people to fulfil their dreams and ambitions even when life has dealt them obstacles. We can too, whether we have achieved no goals or many goals already in life. Lets Go!

#21 So this is the final episode of season 1, I really wanted to reflect on all 20 episodes and share some key points of information from season 1. This podcast has been a fantastic journey of self discovery for me and a pleasure to share my thoughts and feelings with everyone. 2020 was a tough year and to be able to pull some positives out of it really is something I am grateful for. Please have a listen and if you do enjoy then remember to share with your community so together we can build a bigger community. See you in season 2. Take care of yourselves.
#19 In life we have many opportunities come our way and many opportunities to assist others, in American Football along with many other sports its imperative that we are open to receive and then pass it on to create further opportunities for others to gain and ultimately succeed together. This weeks episode is a short version to thought provoke us into realising when these opportunities arise. Hope your all having a great day. Look after one another.
#18 In this episode I talk about 8 ways that help me discover my tomorrow on my journey through life. Its really important for us be aware of our surroundings, what drives us, why things matter the way they do and what we can do to support our progress. Also understand our selves as fragile human beings and that we need to be gentle with our minds and bodies and care for them. This is our journey, our way. Hope this brings you value.
#17 In this weeks episode I share how I stay motivated, Its easy to say lets get motivated, inspired and take on the world. In reality we all have good and bad times and testing days where motivation is no where to be seen. Here I talk about the areas in my life I focus on to be motivated more than not. Its a tough gig out there right now, be easy on yourself. Stay safe and take care.
#16 In this episode I relay why this podcast exists, how I would like to help serve through these difficult times. More so the importance for all of us to remember that it is ok not to be ok and to reach out to each other when we feel we need it. If we can take a step forward the great, if not so what? There is no manual for life and we are all built differently and some things take longer for some than others. Put pressure in the bin and live life by your feelings and trust your process. Many adversity's have been conquered and I am sure we can conquer ours.
Take care and stay safe.
#15 My son who is 15 told me he wished he was older for a certain reason, also that life is short, I replied to him that we do not realise how long life is until we have lived it. Yes there is the obvious of lives being lived short due to unfortunate and unchangeable circumstance. This got me thinking about the reverse to our thoughts. When we measure our time spent alive v our time spent productive we have all invariably had enough time to do most things. Here I give a short take on my thought provoking opinion.
#14: This week I look at how Covid-19 pandemic has affected us, especially children in education. 2020 will prove to be a tough year for all, businesses, education, family life and mental health. Many of us will have our struggles as a result of this moment in time. However the younger generation although we assumed they would have the better of this time are actually proving to suffer more. What is important for us as the older generation, parents, guardians and role models is that we do not let one decision define their future. The grades for their end of year and school exams have proven to be mixed. This has caused anxiety with not only the children but the parents and teachers as well. Yes it is unfair, but thats it it is only unfair, not life defining and we shouldn't let it be.
#13 Confidence plays a huge part in everyone’s daily life, whether we admit this or but we do second guess ourselves at some point. We do listen to others opinions and sometimes get guided outside our dreams. It’s important that we do not focus on the outcome but learn to trust the process. No one cares about you until you have affected them, its then that we trust the process and the journey. Remember to smile and wave and go get yours.
#12 In this episode I reach out to all individuals and in particular to the younger generation, in a time when life and opportunities may feel like they are getting harder. It’s a tough gig out there today for all, however there is also opportunity through adversity and with understanding that it isn’t always the qualification that gets the income sometimes it’s the attitude and want that wins. Let’s step into the challenge with courage and passion, add value with a strong character. We can overcome these hurdles.
Episode 11:
This week I talk about the power of vulnerability and how it has helped me evolve and work openly on my true purpose. As Bob Marley once quoted "being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure". For me it has been a key driver in my journey and for most people out there that may be finding it hard to share their story or have to much fear in failure it can help them too. To be vulnerable is to be be brave. We all need to find that bravery inside of us to accept that its ok to be different.
# 10 : In the episode I wanted to talk about leading through change, the importance of setting a foundation and a clear vision on delivering our goals. In a world where change has been thrown upon us we have had to evolve, some for the better and some for worse depending on how we looked at the situation, or for some how we have been lead through change. Important factors to be mindful of in any circumstance is how you show people you care and the attitude we portray and carry through it. Remember the culture you create at home and business is the foundation of your future success, so make it solid and work as a team through change. Lead by example with a positive mental attitude and see the results flourish.
Episode 9: In this episode its just a short clip that I recorded while sat in the car after a conversation with a friend about change, change is not compulsory but it helps. We are in an ever evolving world that inevitably will keep changing through out our lives, what we do personally alongside this is purely our choice. Its about finding out why you haven't changed yet and discovering what is holding you back. It may be that you are completely happy where you are in life, that in itself is amazing. So do not give yourself a hard time, just make the change or don't.
Episode 8
In this episode with it being father's day I reflect with an overview of fatherhood for me and what I believe we should demonstrate to our children, yes we wanted them to be the best at their chosen careers or the things they love the most. However the world is fast becoming full of entitlement and this is changing the character of so many. I believe that the future will be built, not for the most intelligent and talented but for the most caring and kind, with a great attitude towards others.
Episode 7: Motivation v inspiration, this is an area I have become more interested in over time. What drives us, why do we take the actions that we do and how is it someone else's journey can inspire us to take our own journey. There are many theories and I give mine, it is so important that we light the fire inside of us and realise our true potential. Also through this we can become the inspiration. We all have something to offer to someone and a part to play in change.
Episode 6:
This week I touch on the importance of having faith in our own ability and backing ourselves, we will have faced, be currently facing and definitely will face in the future more challenges. How we perceive these and the actions we take will determine our outcomes. Many before us will have faced the same or very similar challenges and have still reached their goals and dreams. I want us to use that as a strength to empower our beliefs in what is possible for us to achieve.
EP: 5 Jonathan Davies, OBE, father, husband, son, president of Cardiff's Velindre Cancer Centre, Welsh and World rugby icon, known to be controversial at times with no grey area (its always black or white with him as his kids remind him). Jonathan is well known for being one of the all time Welsh and World rugby greats, Jonathan reached the top of the game in rugby league and rugby union having represented both at the highest level here in the UK and in the southern hemisphere. Although Jonathan has a fantastically interesting sporting career which still continues today with a huge involvement through commentary and other aspects, this podcast episode we go deep into Jonathan's thoughts and feelings on how he coped, managed and essentially grew through grief. Jonathan's father Len developed cancer at a young age when there was little awareness and minimum resource leaving Jonathan's mother Diana to travel over 200 miles with his father Len to get treatment. Len sadly passed away after almost two years of treatment when Jonathan was just 14. Although it seems as though Jonathan picked himself up and moved on it was not that easy and he believes he could have possibly gone onto even greater things had his father still been with us. Then Cancer came again, this time Jonathan did not just lose his wife Karen his three children also lost their mother. Jonathan & Karen's three children were only 7, 3, and 1 at this time. Jonathan reflects on how he felt and how he hopes his kids will be proud of him and be happy he done the best he could along with his supportive mother Diana and friends. This episode carries huge sentimental value to me, 27 years ago at 13 years of age on May 29th 1993 my father Keith Delve passed away from Cancer after finding out he was carrying the disease through his lungs and it had spread through his body, this then sadly would leave my mother Catherine at 35 years of age with four children aged 15, 13, 7 & 5. Myself and Jonathan share our feelings on how we have and still do find the difficulties of growing through grief. There is no right or wrong way to perceive this podcast interview its purely mine & Jonathan's perspective's. Hope this helps you in some way.
EP: 5
Episode 5 is relating to the value we put on ourselves versus the value we put on people's opinions. With it being Mental Health Awareness Week i wanted to give an insight into how I think we should value the opinions of others and how it can affect us. Everyday we all have situations where we set out on a path we believe is for us and will fulfill our purpose until bang! There it is again someones opinion about what they think and they feel, haters & trolls to old friends, work colleagues and family members. We must learn to lead our own life & value our own opinions, dreams and belief's before we value those of others. Let's take control of what makes us feel good and remember there are 8 billion people in this world we can spare a few if we need too. Ultimately we need to Be Kind to ourselves and each other.
EP: 4 Gratitude, we are living in a locked down world right now that is so far from our perception of normal. This along with a pandemic of COVID-19 has left us with so much uncertainty causing anxiety and overwhelm for people all over the world. Finding an anchor is so important to help balance off against these emotions. Then finding a way to bring that anchor into our lives on a daily basis is just as crucial for all of us. For all you keyworkers out there and to anyone who is being supportive to others, thank you.
#3 Being accountable through intention, In this episode I refer to a great quote from Tony Robbins that helped focus my mind and also a fantastic book written by L. David Marquet. Two amazingly inspirational men, I also refer to a part of my own journey in which accountability was key, It is really important to chase our dreams with intentional purpose and be committed to the outcome.
Ep 2: In this episode I aim to relay how my perception has not always married up to reality and why I feel we need to share this message. It is natural for us all to have a limited view in any moment in time, I have had and continue to have my own. However we must keep our mindset strong and believe we can change our direction together. Tomorrow is not promised but for many it is now our past.
