Big Bob is back for season 2024 - it may not make sense to you but it makes sense to him (3:55)
After an enforced lay-off - due to legal reasons the details of which cannot be disclosed at this juncture of the proceedings but which will be, in all probability, the subject of a comprehensive documentary mini-series or non-fiction book (fully illustrated) at some time in the not too distant future, Big Bob is back with a special guest appearance from his long lost but not forgotten and distant cousin (both geographically and geanologically) Seamus “Jumbo” O’Hanlon with a lyrical recitation to warm the cockles of your cardiac organs as we approach a time of jollification and good willingness, not to mention tidings of comfort and joy.
Mired in a network wrangle that could spell trouble with a capital T, Big Bob conducts a full and frank exchange of views with himself on topics as wide ranging as the bonny wee Tigers, a poppy songstress, the Brownlow fiasco and lifestyles of the rich and famous.
The coach may have needed more than a cup of tea, a bex and a lie down after his antics last week but the media made a meal of it and Big Bob has more to say about the finals series as a generic entity in and of itself
Big Bob has lost count of the number of sleepless nights he's had musing about: why is the game so confusing ? what can be done about it? who's going to do it?
In his sights are the men in hi-viz once again but thats not all as Big Bob's mind wanders back to some greats of the past and muses with inordinate philisophicality but inconclusively on what made them great and how (4 mins).
Big Bob adopts a scattergun approach . . . to address subjects as diverse as creeds, sports punditry, Olympics, cheese, woodchopping, raw meat and others too diverse to mention but that do not fail to provide food for thought whether you are a football lover or nor, so be it. (5:08)
Ep 60 . . . after being on the sidelines with an undisclosed complaint Big Bob is back with a revealing analysis of Crows et al and the prospect of the horizontal and vertical global societal disintegration as mirrored in microcosm by the Pies’ remarkably predictable and popular fall from grace.
Big Bob makes the well overdue call for the much lamented ruck rover to be bestowed with due recognition before it too goes the way of the hawksbill turtle and white rhino (3:25)
Big Bob serves up an ace or two out wide as strawberry and cream season approaches up north and as all things football continue to marinate and pickle down south
There’s a crack in everything . . . the cracks having been showing in Big Bob’s demeanour and other places for many long years but that's how he shines the light on the cracks that are now too wide to be papered over with Crows coloured wall paper (4:26)
. . . the less said about Crows vs Hawks the better so Big Bob doesnt say anything, but . . . another side of Big Bob imagines a not unrealistic lyrical scenario involving Crows v Dogs sometime in the not too distant future or past but not until round twenty something (2:52)
Ep 55 Dud Eagles fail to lay a glove . . . as the Crows cruise to the easiest of victories on a day when the witches hats would have provided stiffer opposition (4:54)
For the next 4min 17 secs you could listen to Billy Thorpe sing “Most People I Know Think That I’m Crazy” but no doubt you’ve heard that before or you could hear Big Bob’s insightful insights into the Crows v Maggies game at the G when once again we had the carpet pulled out from under our feet when we weren’t looking (4:17).
It could have gone either way on the edge of our seats but if Big Bob had his way the Crows would have scrambled home like the proverbial free rangers but it was not to be as it turned out in the final analysis
Hat trick to Crows . . . Big Bob hammers home the upper hand the Crows have over the (not much) Power - a prompt and timely response not to be overlooked in the annals of digital fish and chip wrappery, figuratively speaking, for years to come (3:38)
This is very late - another example of Wally’s article misplacement practice ... still Crows have a win v Carlton before being robbed as a big Bomber beached-whales the ball in the dying seconds.
Little Jimmy takes a leaf out of A.B. Paterson's book to relate how he and his mate Smithy were warned of the track for 12 months each while Ikey wasn't touched 'cos his boss was judge and steward and Lord knows what
Big Bob rounds up the gather round and why does the DRS have so many whiskers on it that annoy footy barrackers so much and other matters of vital importance too important to elaborate at this point in time (4:04)
Lost episode now found to the delight of punters far and wide (4:11)
