With Danni Boatwright out this week, Survivor 47 runner-up Sam Phalen fills in for her on the Jack Vita Show! Each week, we recap the latest happenings from Survivor 50!This week saw the latest shortcoming in the 20-year Survivor career of five-time player Ozzy Lusth. For the second time in his Survivor tenure, Ozzy was blindsided with an idol in his pocket. Ozzy trusted Jonathan Young, Joe Hunter and Rizo Velovic with his life in the game, and was stunned when the three men turned on him this week. Cirie Fields was unable to save Ozzy, as the castaways were divided into two separate groups of five, attending two separate tribal councils. Still, Cirie didn't seem to try to sway Jonathan and keep him from voting out Ozzy. Why didn't Cirie try to talk Jonathan out of voting Ozzy?Cirie was targeted by Rick Devens and Emily Flippen, but was able to play her extra vote to protect herself. Emily took the fall, after Devens played the idol he collected from the Mr. Beast coin flip. Now, Cirie enters the Final 7 without her closest ally, and with no advantages to protect herself. Is there a path forward for her, to the Final 3? Can she defy the odds and win an unlikely immunity, or will she be the next one out? Sam and Jack assess the game moving forward. Was this the biggest choke job that Ozzy has suffered in his five times of playing Survivor? Sam and Jack take a look back at his memorable Survivor career. Sam shares valuable insights from his time on Survivor 47, where he last all 26 days and finished second. Does the jury know who they are voting for before final tribal council even begins? Sam shares his thoughts and experiences. All this, and much more, only on the Jack Vita Show!Sam is a sports reporter and publisher for Roundtable Sports. Check out his Chicago White Sox coverage here.
As she always does, Danni Boatwright visits the Jack Vita Show to discuss this week's episode of Survivor 50!Danni and Jack are bummed to see their beloved friend Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick eliminated, as she became the 14th contestant voted out and the fifth member of the jury. Jack spoke with Stephenie minutes before taping the podcast. He shares some insights from this week's episode, as Stephenie spills on what didn't make the air.Danni played Survivor with Stephenie back in 2005, on Survivor: Guatemala. She and Stephenie survived all 39 days, reaching the final two together. Danni was crowned the winner by the jury. She comments on where Stephenie went wrong on Survivor 50, and what she maybe could have done differently. Jack shares why he believes an alliance featuring Ozzy and Coach was doomed from the start. Jack and Danni take a look back on Stephenie's fourth appearance on the show, and share how proud they are of her for getting back on the saddle, after 16 years away.Danni and Jack also share their thoughts on this week's Mr. Beast cameo and twist. Was it a weighted coin, or a double-sided coin? Danni and Jack welcome conspiracy theories. All this, and much more on the Jack Vita Show!Danni hosts a podcast of her own called Beyond the Edit with Danni & Aggie, where she is currently covering FOX's new hit show, Extracted. You can follow her on Instagram, @danniboatwright.
2008 World Series champion and staple of the Philadelphia Phillies pitching rotation Kyle Kendrick visits the Jack Vita Show to discuss his wife Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick's return to Survivor! After 16 years away, Stephenie answered the call for Survivor 50. Through nine episodes, she is one of the final ten contestants remaining! Kyle shares his thoughts on watching his wife back on Survivor. The first two times Stephenie played on Survivor: Palau and Survivor: Guatemala, was before Kyle met her. Stephenie had a cup of coffee on Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, but was voted out second. Now, she's experiencing a Survivor renaissance, and Kyle is enjoying the ride!Kyle talks about what it's like to watch his wife on Survivor, after Stephenie spent years supporting him as a baseball wife! Now it's Kyle's turn to support his wife. Kyle dishes on what advice he gave Stephenie before she left for Fiji, how Stephenie trained and prepared for the season, and what he told Stephenie NOT to do on the island. Kyle assesses how he thinks his wife is doing, and reveals which contestants he has enjoyed watching the most, and which ones he would align with. How does Kyle think he would fare on Survivor, and which of his former Phillies teammates does he think would make the best Survivor castaway? Later, Danni Boatwright joins the show to break down the ninth episode of Survivor 50, "I Deserve All of This". And then, Danni, Jack and Kyle are joined by a surprise guest! Kyle also chats about the Phillies and plenty of baseball along the way!
Survivor: Guatemala winner Danni Boatwright returns to the Jack Vita Show to discuss the eighth episode of Survivor 50, "Double the Fun, Double the Demise". Each week, Danni joins Jack to break down the week's episode of Survivor! This week, we bid farewell to one of the biggest characters in the show's history, Benjamin "Coach" Wade, better known as "The Dragon Slayer". Danni and Jack share their thoughts on this week's controversial twist, which also put an end to Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers runner-up Chrissy Hofbeck's game. Cirie and Ozzy played the middle and picked a side, stunning the alliance of Coach, Chrissy, Stephenie, Joe and Jonathan. But, should Stephenie's alliance really have been all that surprised?Rick Devens made a performative move at tribal council, claiming the fake idol that he planted earlier in the season. Stephenie wasn't buying it. The move didn't seem to be necessary. Devens didn't attempt to play it, so now contestants either perceive him to have lied, or they think he has an idol. Could this move backfire, and paint a bigger target on his back? Danni thinks Devens may be the next contestant voted out. Danni and Jack break down everything from this week's episode! You won't want to miss it.
Survivor Guatemala winner Danni Boatwright returns to the Jack Vita Show to recap the seventh episode of Survivor 50, "That's Not How I Play Survivor". Each week, Danni joins the program to share her thoughts on the latest episode of Survivor 50!The editors attempted to fake the audience out, laying the groundwork for a potential blindside of the Dragon Slayer, Coach Benjamin Wade at tribal council. In a last ditch effort, Dee told other players at tribal council that she had the votes to take out Coach, however, just she and Tiffany voted for the Dragon Slayer. The Dragon Slayer appears to be getting on the nerves of the other contestants, though, and the show may be paving the way for his untimely exit. Danni and Jack share their thoughts.Stephenie had a hero moment this week! On exile island, she completed a challenge, earning herself a steal-a-vote advantage. As she kept her hand raised for an hour, the show played a beautiful highlight reel of some of her finer moments as one of the show's strongest competitors, back in the show's heyday, 20 years ago. Over the last two weeks, Stephenie has reestablished herself as one of the show's best physical competitors of all-time. She came close to winning immunity, but Ozzy won his eighth immunity challenge in his Survivor career. He is now just one win shy of tying Boston Rob's immunity win record of nine.Shortly after returning to camp, Stephenie confided in Cirie, who she has known for 15 years, that she had gained an advantage. Moments later, Cirie told Rizo about the advantage. Danni and Jack discuss Cirie and Stephenie's relationship, months after a pregame rumor was started saying that Stephenie was targeting Cirie. Is this further evidence that Cirie is going to turn on the old school players?Jonathan and Dee engaged in a heated argument at the start of the episode, which was reignited at tribal council. Danni applauds Jonathan for his strategic chops this week. All this, and much more, only on the Jack Vita Show!
Survivor: Guatemala winner Danni Boatwright is back on the Jack Vita Show to discuss the sixth episode of Survivor 50, "The Blood Moon"! Danni visits the Jack Vita Show each week to break down the week's Survivor episode! This week saw a Survivor first, as Jeff Probst introduced the show's first ever "blood moon". His longwinded explanation set the table for the first-ever triple-Tribal Council in Survivor history. Wednesday also saw the largest merge ever, as 17 contestants made it to the individual section of the game. Two contestants were granted immunity — Ozzy and Rizo — skipping both the challenge and tribal council, instead spending the night together on Exile Island. The remaining 15 contestants were split into three separate groups of five. Within each group, one contestant won immunity, and each group was forced to vote somebody out. Stephenie showed that even at the age of 46, she is a physical force to be reckoned with. She was the last contestant standing, winning immunity and also an Appleby's dinner reward for her group. Dee and Christian were the other two immunity winners.Stephenie, Jonathan and Chrissy teamed up to vote out Kamilla, in a vote of 3-2. Kamilla received support from Tiffany, but the two new era were left in the dark, expecting Jonathan to vote with them, which, he did not.The other two tribal councils were a clean sweep. Both Genevieve and Colby suffered poor luck. In a group of Aubry, Christian, Rick Devens and Joe, Genevieve was the clear target. Unable to swing Christian, Genevieve played her shot in the dark, failing to earn safety and losing her vote. She was voted out by a vote of 4-0.In the Survivor 50 premiere, Colby lost his vote for the first tribal council he attended, after losing a challenge on Exile Island. Colby never attended a tribal council before the merge, meaning that he could not vote in this week's tribal council. This put him and Coach Wade at a severe disadvantage, with both Survivor legends on the chopping block. Fellow old schooler Cirie Fields opted to vote with new era players Dee and Emily instead of trying to save her fellow old schoolers. Colby revealed in exit press this week that he had an infection his leg that would have forced him to be medically evacuated from the game, regardless of if he made it past tribal council.Joining Danni and Jack this week is Deal or No Deal Island Season 1 contestant Kim Mattina. Kim is one of the most knowledgeable reality television minds Jack has ever come across. Together, the three of them put this week's episode under the microscope, shining a light on Stephenie's impressive immunity win, and discussing Rizo's place in the game and his final three alliance with Cirie and Ozzy, Survivor's first Blood Moon, Genevieve's bad luck (she found two idols and had to give both of them away!), an emotional farewell to Colby, and so much more!
Survivor: Guatemala winner Danni Boatwright returns to the Jack Vita Show to break down the fifth episode of Survivor 50, "Open Wounds"!Each week, Danni stops by the Jack Vita Show to discuss the latest episode of Survivor 50!Danni and Jack loved this week's episode, coming off the lowest-rated episode on IMDB in the show's history. With Survivor 50 being in the hands of the fans, did the show actually listen to its fans this week, after the criticism it received from Zac Brown's cameo in episode four? This week saw a pair of tribal councils, and a lot of action. Ozzy blew a gasket after returning to camp, once his friend Mike White was voted out. Ozzy pondered blindsiding Christian, but didn't. Did he make the correct move, voting out Angelina? Stephenie regained a lot of power this week, and now appears to be the one in the driver's seat on Vatu's beach. Entering last week, she appeared to be next on the chopping block. How did Stephenie do it (again)? How did Jack and Danni feel about Angelina's short time on Survivor 50? Did Christian make the right decision, giving his shot in the dark to Ozzy as a showing of trust? Or should Christian have tried to get Ozzy out? Jack and Danni say why this outcome was the best-case scenario for Stephenie.Cila returned to tribal council, as Charlie and Rizo squared off, once and for all. Rick Devens and Jonathan Young were left out of the vote, voting for Rizo, while Rizo gathered the votes in the form of Cirie, Kamilla and Dee. Jack and Danni weigh in on the Rizo-Charlie feud. They also discuss Coach's nicknames, who each contestant would be as a March Madness team, MLB Opening Day, Mark Gubizca, the Sweet Sixteen round of the NCAA Tournament and much more!
Survivor: Guatemala winner Danni Boatwright is back to discuss the fourth episode of Survivor 50, "Knife to the Heart" on the Jack Vita Show! Each week, Danni joins Jack to dissect the latest episode of Survivor 50. They will be covering the show together all season long! This week, Danni and Jack were relieved to see the target move off of Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, who appeared to be the one at the bottom, after her ally Quintavius "Q" Burdette was blindsided at last week's tribal council. This week saw the David vs. Goliath alliance turning on itself, as Christian Hubicki made a surprising move on White Lotus creator Mike White, who he perceived to be the most dangerous player in the game. With Stephenie and Emily Flippen, Christian had the votes to oust his former David vs. Goliath tribemate, leaving Angelina Keeley and Ozzy Lusth in the dark. Meanwhile, Mike and Angelina voted Emily, and Ozzy voted Angelina. It appears Ozzy is about to blow a gasket on next week's episode! This week's episode was overshadowed by a cameo from Zac Brown of Zac Brown Band. What did Danni and Jack think about the cameo, and the episode as a whole? Spoiler: Danni has more positive things to say than Jack does! Danni and Jack also examine other dynamics spotlighted in this week's episode, including the growing rifts between Charlie and Rizo, and Genevieve and Aubry. Genevieve found a boomerang idol and sent it to Rizo. Was this the right move? All this, and so much more, only on the Jack Vita Show!Danni hosts a podcast of her own called Beyond the Edit with Danni & Aggie, where she is currently covering FOX's new hit show, Extracted. Survivor: Guatemala winner Danni Boatwright returns to the Jack Vita Show to break down the third episode of Survivor 50, "Did You Vote for a Swap?"!Each week, Danni joins Jack to dissect the latest episode of Survivor 50. They will be covering the show together all season long! This week, Jeff Probst ordered the contestants to drop their buffs, via a cringy rap. This resulted in three new tribes. For those keeping score at home:Cila (orange): Rick Devens, Cirie Fields, Rizo (formerly Vatu), Charlie Davis (Kalo), Kamilla Karthigesu (Kalo), Dee Valladares (Kalo), Jonathan Young (Kalo).Kalo (teal): Tiffany Ervin, Chrissy Hofbeck, Benjamin "Coach" Wade, Joe Hunter (Cila), Colby Donaldson (Vatu), Aubry Bracco (Vatu), Genevieve Mushaluk (Vatu).Vatu (magenta): Quintavius "Q" Burdette, Angelina Keeley, Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, Mike White (Kalo), Emily Flippen (Cila), Christian Hubicki (Cila), Ozzy Lusth (Cila).Vatu lost the immunity challenge, putting Stephenie and Q in jeopardy of going home. Mistakenly thinking that they had Ozzy on their side, Q tried to convince Mike White to get his alliance to split their votes between Stephenie and Q. His plan failed, and Q was voted out, with Ozzy revealing his true colors, as he voted Q out. Now, Stephenie is the last woman standing in her tribe, without an ally. Can she recapture the magic she had on Survivor: Palau and put together a nice run, or will this spell doom for her? Danni and Jack debate, as they share their thoughts on this week's tribe swap, the new tribes, CBS' editing choices, and so much more!Danni hosts a podcast of her own called Beyond the Edit with Danni & Aggie, where she is currently covering FOX's new hit show, Extracted. Subscribe to her YouTube channel here. You can follow her on Instagram, @danniboatwright.
Danni Boatwright returns to The Jack Vita Show to discuss the second episode of Survivor 50, "Therapy Carousel"!Each week, Danni and Jack will break down the latest episode of Survivor 50, sharing their thoughts and analysis along the way. This week, the Cila tribe lost its second immunity challenge, and Survivor 49 winner Savannah Louie became the third person eliminated. With Kyle Fraser being medically evacuated in the show's premiere, now just one winner remains: Dee Vallardes. This week's episode spent a great deal of time with none other than Rick Devens and Christian Hubicki. Danni and Jack debate, did they enjoy seeing so much of the dynamic duo? Jack argues why he would have liked to see some other characters get a little more shine. It was a quiet week for The Jack Vita Show's own Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, but Danni and Jack state why her lack of screentime doesn't concern them.Devens made a blunder when he whispered in front of Joe Hunter, which Joe overheard and later confronted Devens on. Devens vented in his confessionals, expressing his frustration playing with Joe, who wants to play an honorable, straightforward game. Jack explains why he thinks Devens is in the wrong on this one, but Danni pushes back and shares why she thinks Joe made a blunder of his own, which could have put him in harms way.Coach called out Ozzy and defended his honor before the challenge, moments before needing to be boated to shore after suffering a muscle cramp while spearfishing with Jonathan Young. Ozzy gave his extra-vote advantage to Cirie, strengthening their bond on the Cila tribe. The Vatu tribe mounted an impressive comeback in the immunity challenged, spearheaded by Stephenie and Colby Donaldson. It was a true 'turn-back-the-clock' performance! Elsewhere, is it time that we test Mike White for performance-enhancing drugs? All this, and so much more, only on the Jack Vita Show!Danni hosts a podcast of her own called Beyond the Edit with Danni & Aggie, where she is currently covering FOX's new hit show, Extracted. Jack explains why Coach was in the right in this scenario, and Danni weighs in with her thoughts.Jenna Lewis, who attended the second tribal council in the show's history became the first castaway voted out. Did Jenna play too hard, too fast, or was she done in by pregame alliances? Danni and Jack share their thoughts.Kyle Fraser suffered a ruptured Achilles in the first immunity challenge, causing him to be medically evacuated from the show. Is it the worst injury sustained on a season of Survivor? Where does this leave Stephenie, Colby, Genevieve, Q, and the rest of the Vatu tribe, especially considering both Colby and Q have lost their votes for the first tribal council? What did Danni and Jack think of Genevieve's decision to send the Billie Eilish boomerang idol to Ozzy? All this, and so much more on the latest episode of the Jack Vita Show!Danni hosts a podcast of her own called Beyond the Edit with Danni & Aggie, where she is currently covering FOX's new hit show, Extracted. Survivor: Guatemala winner Danni Boatwright returns to the Jack Vita Show to discuss her friend and former tribemate Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick's return to Survivor, with Survivor 50 premiering in under two weeks! Each week, Danni will be joining Jack to chat about the latest episode of Survivor 50!Danni first met Stephenie in 2005, on Survivor's eleventh season, Survivor: Guatemala. It had only been six months since Stephenie had finished filming Survivor: Palau. Stephenie lasted 30 days on Survivor: Palau and made history, becoming the first ever tribe of one. She instantly became a fan favorite, and for the first time in Survivor's history, a contestant was brought back for the very next season to play with all newbies. Survivor had developed a new face of the franchise, and it needed to capitalize on its budding star.Danni and Stephenie started on opposite tribes, but became quick friends at the merge. Despite being down in numbers, Danni crafted a path to the Final 3. She won final immunity and opted to face the jury with Stephenie. Danni defeated Stephenie by a vote of 6-1, earning her the title of sole survivor.Danni and Stephenie would each go on to marry a professional athlete, move around the country and raise their kids. Both women pursued other ventures and left reality television in the past. To Survivor fans in the 2010s, the thought of seeing the Survivor: Guatemala Final 2 ever on the show again was a pipedream... until 2020.Danni answered the call for Survivor's 40th season, Survivor: Winners at War. Unfortunately for Danni, she suffered a similar fate to that of Stephenie on Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains. Both players went into the game without pregame alliances or connections to the rest of the cast, and as a result, neither lasted long. Two years later, Stephenie would appear on USA's short-lived competition show Snake in the Grass. Five months after that, Stephenie competed on the first season of Peacock's hit show The Traitors, where she made it to the penultimate episode and was the last contestant murdered. In the summer of 2025, both Danni and Stephenie left within days of each other for each of their next adventures. Danni competed on FOX's 99 to Beat, while Stephenie set out to film Survivor 50. Danni finished in the top 90% of the competition, placing eighth out of 100. How will Stephenie fare in her return to TV?In this episode of the Jack Vita Show, Danni assesses Stephenie's game, her skill set and her chances on S50. Who might Stephenie best gel with in the game? Who should she work with and trust, and who should she be weary of? What needs to happen in order for Stephenie to make a deep run? What does Jack think are Stephenie's best traits? And what advice did Danni give to Stephenie before she left, so that she too can be a Survivor champ? All this, and so much more in the latest episode of the Jack Vita Show!Danni hosts a podcast of her own called Beyond the Edit with Danni & Aggie, where she is currently covering FOX's new hit show, Extracted. Subscribe to her YouTube channel here. You can follow her on Instagram, @danniboatwright.

How does Australian Survivor winner David Genat rank among her greatest allies from all of the shows she has competed on? And how was Parvati able to identify David?Parvati also chats about her life on reality television. Did she ever think she'd still be doing this thing in her 40s, with a young daughter? Parvati reveals in this interview that she has declined opportunities to compete on CBS' Celebrity Big Brother, USA Network's Snake in the Grass, E!'s House of Villains and Amazon Prime's The GOAT. Parvati explains why she won't accept just any opportunity to be on television, and why it needs to be the right opportunity. For over a decade, Jeff Probst has hyped Parvati up as the ultimate flirt and heartbreaker. But does Parvati think that's a fair assessment of her gameplay on Survivor? This is a question Jack has always wanted to ask Parvati. Parvati reflects on her time on reality television, looks ahead to her next chapter and discusses how the genre has changed in her near-20 years of reality TV stardom. All this, and much more, in an exclusive interview on the Jack Vita Show!
