Jane Pfaelzer, a college professor from University of Delaware, discusses her book “Driven Out,” the history of the forced relocation of thousands of Chinese workers in California in the 19th Century. Because of the violence against Chinese workers in many communities, there are cities in the state that still do not have any Asian residents to this day. It’s a part of California’s history that has been hidden and ignored.
