Born in Ohio and raised in Arkansas, Brandon moved to Los Angeles in his 20s to pursue acting. During that time, he was homeless and living in his car when he began documenting his daily experience after his restaurant work shifts. After gaining a social media following, his first big video was a knitting tutorial that blew up on Facebook, earning him a million views in two days. From there, Brandon Farris began creating new content and would eventually move to Sacramento with his now wife (no longer living in his car). Brandon’s infectious personality and clever comedic sketches make him a standout creator in the digital landscape. His content goes beyond mere laughter; it resonates with viewers personally. From hilarious parodies and skits to genuine, heartwarming moments, Brandon Farris’ social media channels offer diverse content that appeals to a broad audience. In this edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Brandon Farris spoke about how he got into comedy, the stories behind his most prominent social media videos, and his reaction to when his content goes viral. Episode #271: Dr. Nina Cash TALKS Modeling, 'Sports Illustrated' 60th Anniversary + Get Safe

It is a privilege to welcome Dr. Nina Cash to The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. A wife, mother, and daughter, Dr. Cash spent her life not only as a successful, career-focused woman but also giving back and providing for others. A firm believer in the adage “it’s never too late,” Dr. Nina Cash earned her bachelor’s degree 10 years after graduating from high school, her master’s degree 20 years later, and her doctorate in January 2020. She has a passion for and earned her doctorate in educational leadership, higher education, and adult learning. Dr. Nina’s students were all returning adult learners wanting to explore higher education. Along with teaching, Dr. Cash has also aligned herself with, continues to volunteer, and is on the board of the Get Safe organization. Get Safe provides a variety of programs, including children’s anti-bullying training, workplace safety training, various safety programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, trauma-informed survivor programs, and law enforcement training. At age 57, Dr. Nina Cash was named one of seven winners who will be featured in Sports Illustrated’s 60th-anniversary issue, which is scheduled to be released in May 2024. The retired academic dean breaks barriers and stereotypes by becoming this year’s oldest winning model. She is Filipino, diabetic, and a pillar in her Long Beach community for her philanthropic work. What she considers her “encore career” after retiring is becoming a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, which was something she never thought possible after a certain age because of the industry’s infamous practice of not pursuing female models after reaching a certain age after winning and gearing up for the illustrious upcoming SI photoshoot. In this edition of The Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Dr. Nina Cash spoke about receiving the news she was a part of the Sports Illustrated campaign, how she got involved with the Get Safe organization, and revealed her dream Dancing with the Stars professional partners.
