With focus on bringing to the fore voices from the ground, we will speak to experts on the impact that women and adolescent girls from across parts of the country are having, as they become changemakers for their community.

Bhadohi in Uttar Pradesh has been synonymous with the carpet weaving industry for decades. And the groundwater has been plagued by high presence of fluoride. The residents of Palheya Gram Panchayat in Bhadohi, have been reeling with the impact from excessive levels of fluoride. But due to the courage shown by adolescent girls in the community, the villagers are more aware of the harmful effects of consuming such water. 
Ground water contamination in Bihar is nothing new. It is very common to find presence of harmful chemicals like arsenic, fluoride, zinc in excessive levels across parts of Bihar. With intervention by WaterAid India, adolescent girls and women volunteers have been identified & trained to test water quality sources and take remedial measures to ensure that everyone has access to clean & safe drinking water.
