Description

Join the Party is a collaborative storytelling and roleplaying podcast, powered by the rules of Dungeons and Dragons. That means a group of friends create a story together, chapter by chapter, that takes us beyond the tabletop to parts unknown. In the first campaign, we explored fantasy adventure, intrigue, magic, and drama. In the newest story, we tackle science, superpowers, a better future, and the responsibility to help others.
Every month, we sit down for the Afterparty, where we break down our game and answer your questions about how to play D&D and other roleplaying games at home. We also have segments at the beginning of each campaign to teach people how to play the game themselves. It’s a party, and you’re invited! Find out more at jointhepartypod.com.

From Kevin Durant's burner accounts to LeBron taking his talents anywhere to trusting the Process, the NBA is becoming a pop culture requirement. At the same time, sports can have gatekeepers that make it insular and frustrating for people who aren't die hard fans. We’re here to prove that basketball is entertaining to follow for all fans, whether you’re actively watching the games or not. On HORSE, we don’t analyze wins and losses. We talk beefs, dig into Internet drama, and have fun.

This next arc will be the final one of the story of the Concentric States, which will wrap up by the end of 2019. I just started listening, I know it's been going in a while, but man I was really turned off in how Johnny had all this time to cast a spell, go to a store, have a full conversation to try to take advantage of the store owner and managed to get away with it... All in their turn. I understand trying to let your players use their imagination, but I feel all he did would have taken multiple turns. I'm still gonna give it a try as I am finding for more play podcasts... But this really took me away from the story.

I'm waiting for the Robot Devil to start singing with the Beastie Boys now... And I'm getting strong Chrono Trigger vibes with the CPU thing...

I like this DM. He has a great way of telling the story, a fantastic imagination, and the best taste in music with the third Billy Joel reference so far. I'm invested in this story now.

I'm having a hard time finishing the second to last season. Johnny was my favorite character and the dynamics without him just aren't the same.

I believe that the party is not over there is probably another season where Johnny comes back through the portal of the undying light and they fight or join the darkness

...did y'all really darken a character's skin as a disguise? Even in a fictional context, damn if that doesn't high key bother me.
