Description
Deep conversations are much needed to expand our knowledge with not only the world we live in, but also our selves. I'll be bringing on one guest at a time to talk about a journal prompt that we both think is intriguing. Using our creative ideas and eliminating surface level talk, I intend to have conversations that people don't normally have on a daily basis to inspire more people to go down this route with their friends, family and even strangers. As we answer the question, yourself and all the other listeners can see how people differ with their Points of Views and either agree or disagree with our statements.

This Journal Prompt can be looked at in so many different ways. You can either think simple, like, I'm surprised I didn't carry on my childhood hobby, or I can't believe people don't talk about how lucky we are to be living in this planet in probably the best time period of human history. I really want people to think about this one before listening since you can go in SO many directions. Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/nickarhakos)
The Coronavirus is a period of time that none of us expected, and is affecting us ALL. During this pandemic, my thoughts of this disease has varied with all the information spewing out of the news and internet. My guest today is from one of our earlier episodes, Ray, and he wanted to come on to talk about his feelings of the coronavirus since he is included in the group of high risk due to his age. Ray and I share our thoughts on what we think will happen with these upcoming weeks/months, and our thoughts on everyone buying a life supply of toilet paper and paper towels, Enjoy!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/nickarhakos)
Joy and Happiness are two emotions that many of us want to increasingly obtain more of, yet we never sit down and think about what brings us these emotions. What activities bring us a genuine smile? Which friends and family members do we want to be around more? How do we control ourselves from manifesting negative emotions and energy into our lives? Sitting down for an hour and thinking about what brings you joy and happiness could potentially eliminate most of your unhappiness for the future. Having a mentor growing up helps in everyday life. So many small decisions have come from the seeds that were planted in our head from the people we looked up to. But life is always flipping the script, so have you ever thought of being on the other side? Being a mentor to someone is tough because you can have great advice, but the way you deliver the message is a whole different ball game. I was joined by my friend Jimmy to discuss the journal prompt, but also our history of any kind of mentorship that we've had in our previous years/present day. Have you just ever wanted to vent about something to a family member or friend about everything on your mind? This episode of Journal Prompts I had my sister come on and talk about a journal prompt ... but that didn't go as we planned. Instead, Danielle woke up from her nap and had so much to talk about that she thought I was her therapist. Mainly Danielle was trying the figure out what path she needs to go down for her future because there's a pulling from certain direction that she didn't see coming ... Death and taxes are the only two guaranteed problems we face as human beings ... or is it? What if in the future we figure out a way to live forever? Would you choose to live forever or go out like the rest of our ancestors that brought us to this point? No one knows what happens after death but we all know what life is like. The unknown scares but also intrigues us, so what would you do? Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/nickarhakos)
The history of humans will always intrigue me. We went from being in tribes and always helping out the people that surround us to becoming jealous and negative towards each other. What happened over those thousands of years? Is it the competition that makes us behave this way? How should we deal with it? Hate and negativity does no good in any situation but we shouldn't ignore our actions and try to turn our behaviors around. Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/nickarhakos)
Stepping outside of your comfort zone is a tough challenge to complete. Starting to do activities that you’ve never done before is hard because you get those “butterflies” in your stomach and the fear of embarrassment is on your mind. My guest today, Matty, took a leap outside his comfort zone when he started streaming on Twitch. Being the shy and quiet kid was the norm for him, but now it’s a different story. After listening to this podcast you may want to take a step outside your comfort zone more often.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/nickarhakos)
Todays Episode will be a little different. A lot of people don't get a chance to sit down and talk about their problems in a serious manner for at least an hour. To be able to talk about your problems is hard, but finding a solution for them is even harder, especially in one conversation. This is the start of Jess figuring out how she'll overcome her issues and it may spark a thought to begin her journey of leading herself in the right direction. Properly finding a solution to a mental problem is a skill that's hard to develop and something everyone should start practicing. Listen in to find out what Jess and I came up to possibly help her figure the solution to her problems. Enjoy!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/nickarhakos)
Money is a necessity at this point in human history, and it'll most likely never be something that we can avoid. So lets' play that hypothetical game and think about what we would do if we didn't have to worry about money. Work takes up a lot of our time and without work, what would you fill your day up with? Would it be seeing friends and family more? Or start picking up hobbies and focusing on having fun?Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/nickarhakos)
Every single day that life passes there's always something we regret doing, or some unfortunate event that occurs. The common reaction to these events are normally replaying situations in our head, or not being able to move forward. Accepting outcomes is a tough yet necessary action to take because without accepting, you'll be wasting time and energy on past events that are no longer in your control. Living in the present is a tough thing to do when you have people in your ear always questioning you about your future. How is it possible to live in the present but care for the future? If you're not living in the present, are you living at all? Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/nickarhakos)
Perspective is an interesting trait we all have. When I first saw this journal prompt I thought about dreams for my future life, but my guest Frank had a different idea of what this journal prompt meant to him: What do you dream about when you sleep? Both make you think a little bit. One of these forces you to think about things that haven't happened in your life yet in a vivid way, and the other forces you to remember a different reality that is vividly hard to remember and grasp, with a plot the usually makes no sense. Starting up anything in life is hard because you think about everything that can go wrong. Changing your mindset to thinking of the possibilities that it can eventually lead to is going to help tremendously. But seriously, why can't you do it? Why can't you be the next huge YouTube star or pop-star? Or even something so small like doing 20 push-ups in a row? Limiting yourself is what most people do, once you can change the limitations on your life start really thinking of why YOU can't do it?Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/nickarhakos)
Productivity is a strange topic to ponder about. First of all, what does 'Productive' even mean? And how do you consistently make sure you're not wasting your time by doing activities that fall under the umbrella of 'Productive'? This word didn't mean much to human beings until ... kinda now. Since we can do anything at anytime in our life, whats the solution to keeping busy in our free time and feel like we've accomplished something?Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/nickarhakos)
Most of the population is always thinking about taking care of a specific object, or animal, but rarely do we think about ourselves. What food do you put into you body? How much sleep do you get? Does physical and mental health even reach the surface of your thoughts? Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/nickarhakos)
We have a million things constantly running through our minds every single day, but only a few seriously stick to us. Connections are a strange positive feeling, and for some reason we ignore it sometimes. Trying to find a deep connection to something is the wrong way of looking at it, letting it come to you is the best way of doing it. Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/nickarhakos)
There are so many times in your life where you make a decision and at first you have 100% belief in yourself, and then it slowly creeps down. How do you continue to stay on the path of not doubting yourself and truly believing in YOU to make your goal happen? It's a tough thing to do, but I promise that it's possible. The journal prompt that my friend Ilia and I discussed is "What gets your inner child excited and makes you feel alive?" Everyone can have a different definition of what your inner child is, so listen in on exactly what we think our inner child is, and how we feel alive from our excitement.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/nickarhakos)
