In order to have a mature prayer life, it's important to remember that Jesus has "the name that is above every name" (Phil. 2:9). Many times our circumstances try to elevate themselves above Jesus, and then our prayer life becomes a rehearsal of everything that's going wrong and every way we can ask God to fix it. When we put Jesus above our circumstances, we're able to approach God with gratitude and experience his presence no matter what's going on around us.
How do you find you peace, joy and righteousness?
The prophet Daniel survived the lion's den, prophesied to kings, and affected a whole nation for multiple generations. The key to his successful life with God was: he habitually spent time in prayer, and he followed the convictions he had, even when it could have cost him everything. When we make time for God and choose to obey him, there's no telling where he might take us or what he might do with our lives.
God can use you anywhere and at any time. You are where you are for a reason. (Acts 2)
Life is too busy and hectic, but are you slowing down and spending time with God to hear Him? (Hebrews 11:6-8, Genesis 12:1-4)
