Living with chronic stress has become all too familiar in our fast-paced lives, particularly for those navigating corporate or entrepreneurial worlds. It's alarmingly easy to find ourselves gradually slipping into burnout. The pandemic and its accompanying challenges have only heightened our stress levels, making burnout an ever-present threat. Today, I'll open up about my personal journey, sharing the warning signs, the tipping point, and the importance of taking a much-needed break. My hope is that by sharing my experiences, I can offer valuable insights, sparking introspection and inspiring positive change in our listeners.
Burnout has become an all too common phenomenon in today's fast-paced and demanding world. Burnout is a state of physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion caused by prolonged and excessive stress. Early signs can often be missed as it looks like dissatisfaction at work or lack of motivation.
I have been in your shoes and burnt out in my corporate job. I didn’t recognize the signs early enough and intervened. In retrospect, if I had reached out earlier and taken steps the results might have been different.
It reoriented me to a different path though and now I get to create change by working with corporations, leaders, and individuals to prevent burnout.
Please listen to this episode, and share it with others. I would love to hear from you what resonated.
I have been procrastinating recording this podcast for over 2 weeks. My perfectionism kept getting in the way.
Even though this podcast was born of being inspired to help other people like me and I had inspiration for topics, the motivation was lacking.
It got me pondering as to how inspiration, and motivation go hand in hand and both are necessary to overcome procrastination and move forward.
The questions for you to ponder, as you listen to this episode are:
What inspires you? What is an example in your life that you can think of where you felt inspired to do something and you took action and got a sense of fulfillment?
On a daily basis, what motivates you to keep going? What are some of the things that you, you, you do to keep yourself motivated?
I invite you to think of examples in your life where inspiration and motivation produced amazing results. Use these examples to steer your daily life and pay attention to when they flow together with ease.
Its summer time and there is part of your that's excited and another part of you that is dreading it. all that juggling- work, kids home form school, visitors form out of town- that seems like a lot.
Are you trying to do it all and take care of everything this summer?
Summer can get overwhelming if you are.
How to manage work and play? How to enjoy your visitors without getting overwhelmed?
Some tips for you to enjoy your summer fully this time.
Looking for some tips on how to enjoy your summer with family and kids, catch this episode where Beth and I talk about how we manage family and kids through summer. Do you keep having the same fight over and over again?
Do you want that your spouse would show up differently for you?
Keep feeling unappreciated at home or at work.
Does the same situation keep repeating with colleagues, subordinates, or managers?
How do I stop the same thing from happening over and over again? Why do I make the same mistake again and again?
The repetition of something is the existence of a pattern. Patterns repeat themselves in life.
Patterns are a reliable sample of traits, acts, tendencies, or observable characteristics of a person, a group, or an institution.
When a pattern stops serving us we want to change it. to create that change in behavior, or situation we need to do these three steps:
1) Recognize the pattern through Awareness
2) Stop resisting it through Acceptance
3) Shift through taking Aligned Action
Then Rinse and repeat until the new pattern is the one you consciously created.
Do you know who you are really?
I set an intention for 2023. It is simply " I know who I am".
Because I am more than the roles I play and so are you.
When you think of who you are, how do you describe yourself?
We often describe ourselves as the roles we play in our life- mother, daughter, wife, our professional roles.
But we are a lot more than those roles we play, we are in fact the creators of our life and how we see ourselves is critical in creating who we are.
So join me in this episode as I dig deeper into who I am and who you are.

The vision for this podcast was born from my own life.
How I defined myself and my success as a child drove and motivated me for the first 30 years. And then it didn't anymore and the old ways stopped working. Have you been there? Do you feel this way at times?
I tried to hold on to who I knew myself to be - my personality. I was very much in my masculine energy in this phase of my life.
Then as I went through my mid-life crisis, I had to let go and start redefining and letting go. Really one of the most significant turning points of my life was when I became a mom and the balancing act shifted.
The second phase began with being forced to be in a more restful place and getting in touch with who I was and what I wanted, not just the stories and roles I had defined myself by. and moving more to my feminine energy.
This pendulum swing from the masculine to feminine energy came to a more gentle swing closer to the middle and I started to live with more joy and ease and create in that space. This is what has defined the birth of this podcast and my work with highly driven women.
Right now my mission is to reach as many women as possible and help them find this space of joyful balance within themselves.
A lot of women I know are trying to be highly productive and find a balance between their drive for purpose and having fulfilling relationships. I want them to know it's possible and how to find it within themselves, and live a joyfully imperfect life.

The menstrual cycle or 'our period' affects us periodically, some monthly, and others more irregularly.
The period affects our 'productivity'. In this episode, I talk about how it is our friend and how to use our menstrual cycle to enhance our productivity by working with our bodies and not pushing through it.
I also address how our body and mind work differently through different parts of our menstrual cycle and how we can use that to our advantage.
If you are perimenopausal or menopausal, you can use the lunar cycle similarly.

In the first episode of Joyfully Imperfect we start by defining what joy and perfectionism means and how they don't tango well together. This episode sets the stage for the show and what joyfully imperfect life really means.
As a recovering perfection, I share my insights on what perfectionism looks like and how to let go off to allow you to live a more joyfully imperfect life.
Perfectionism can look like needing to get it right, getting everything done 100% or letting go completely and in this episode I share some tools on how to counter that and embrace more joy in your life.
I mentor highly driven women like you to let go of perfectionism and embrace joy without sacrificing yourselves, your family or your work. Having worked in corporate world for over 20 years and been an entrepreneur and coach for over 5, I have walked in your shoes. I share my unique perspective and methods to untangle you and create more joy and fun in your life. This will transform your relationships at home, with friends and at work, feeding more joy into your life.
