Host, Lindsay Eland, combined three of her amazing dogs into one episode because sadly, she didn’t have any of them for very long. But that doesn’t mean they were any less special or impactful on her and her heart. Please listen in to hear about these beautiful souls and to remember them and their lives!  And as we are into the Holiday Season, let’s try to get adoptable dogs and cats a forever home for the holidays! Share posts of adoptable dogs on Facebook and Instagram, make a donation to your local shelter of money, food, beds, and supplies! It doesn’t have to be a great, grand gesture to make a difference.  Remember, kindness always matters!
Listen in to this week’s episode as Joanne and host, Lindsay Eland, talk about how she went from a young animal lover, to a model and actress to a dog photographer and passionate dog rescue advocate. It’s filled with inspiring stories, great information, and of course it’s all about dogs!
The One About Gurdy

This story is special to my heart because it’s the story of one of my daughter’s, Ella, and her sweet little dog, Gurdy and how they found each other. Adopting Gurdy was right after she had lost her other beloved dog, Duchess, so it was full of soul-soothing as well as confusion and guilt. Don’t miss this special mother-daughter episode! Make sure to show her some love by following her at @artofellaeland.

This is another short and sweet episode about one of Lindsay Eland's own sweet rescues. Pudennz was only with her a few months, but she wouldn’t trade one moment of those months that she cared for her for anything in the world.  This is a continuation of a series I’m doing on my own adopted dogs--those who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and those who are still with me. Check those out at the beginning of 2021!
This episode is short and sweet! It's about host, Lindsay Eland's, own precious Tricky Woo who passed away in 2019. This is a continuation of a series she does on her own adopted dogs--those who have crossed and those you are still with her. Check those out at the beginning of 2021! Tricky Woo is dog number 5 featured out of 14 adopted.
One thing starting this podcast has done for me is connect me with so many amazing people in the rescue world--whether that means people who have started a rescue, or they foster, or they do other things in the rescue community. My cousin, @kd8267 got in touch with me a few months ago about a friend of hers who I just had to interview. I, of course, said, “absolutely!” and got in touch with Elizabeth to hear and share her story with all of you. It’s her story of how she rescued her beloved little Goldie and how 5 minutes of courage can lead you to make “the best mistake” of your life. It’s a story of how one little shelter dog can change the course of your life for the better.
Today, host Lindsay Eland, talks with media director, Gina, over at Do Over Dogs, a rescue here in Denver, Colorado. They chat about the mission and vision of Do Over Dogs, Gina’s own inspiring story of finding and adopting her soul dog, and how there is a place for everyone and all skill sets are welcome to help and volunteer at their local rescue and/or shelter!  Remember there is no act of kindness too small!
Host Lindsay Eland, and veterinarian, Monica Tarantino, talk all about her reasons for becoming a veterinarian, her love and passion for senior dogs specifically and the collaborations she’s done with other vets to help pet parents and their dogs as their furry friends enter their golden years. It’s filled with great info, things to look for and pay attention to, and great resources for all of dog moms and dads who want to do the best for their furry family members.
Listen in to this weeks episode as host, Lindsay, talks with photographer, Jennifer Starr, who, through beautiful photographs, encourages pet parents to document their beloved furry companions when the journey over the rainbow bridge is near. This is a beautiful way to honor your furry best friend as well as creating priceless memories.
The long and short on this sweet and sassy breed, the dachshund, is out today!  Many dogs end up in shelters and rescues because people don’t learn enough about what a specific breed needs; they go by looks. But some breeds need a lot of exercise, some are the perfect lounge dog, others are stubborn by nature and still others will go with the flow. Listen in as host, Lindsay Eland, talks with Doxie by Proxy founder, Alison Schwartz, all about this amazing little breed that is small on height but big on moxie!
What are you waiting for? Grab your best fur friend, a pile of blankets and a cup of hot apple cider (because that tastes like fall) and listen in to this amazing new episode. This week, host, Lindsay Eland, is talking with Bronwen Bell, the dog-obsessed, foster-dog-mom, dog rescuer, business owner, creator, and just an all around amazing soul. In this episode we talk about her little muse Clarence whose own health issues inspired her business, her little foster-fail lady, Daisy who continues to inspire her, her creation The Snuggit Sac (I own one and let me tell you it is AMAZING), and how she and her business are changing the world for rescue dogs.
Here it is, Dog Lovers!! The latest,“The One About Soccer Pants Senior Paws” is out! And don’t you just love the name? My own dogs have names like: Pear Tree, Wiggies, Swannie River, Gurdy-graw, Aussen-Free and many others... In this episode, we’re not necessarily talking about our pets funny names (though it does come up), instead I talk with Soccer Pants founder, Julee Karcz, about the how and why behind her starting this nonprofit, the mission of Soccer Pants and why coming together to help each other can change the world--and if not the world--someone’s world...and isn’t that what it’s all about? Listen in and be inspired to take that germ of an idea and let it grow into something bigger than you ever thought.
This is an amazing episode with a Chihuahua whisper, a rescuer, a passionate dog foster mom, an Art Director, a Photographer, and someone who has pretty much served in every single aspect of a rescue that you can think of from an event volunteer to a board member. You guessed it, she absolutely rocks! My guest is Alyssa Stepien who is the name behind @rescueclub and is also a Heart Speak Artist member and a Petco Love Adoption Ambassador. In this episode, we talk about adoption application rejection, the importance of conversations and communication, fostering (of course), photography and art, and the importance of compassion and understanding.
It’s out! The next episode of Just Add...Horses? Yes, horses! “The One About Colorado Horse Rescue” is available to listen to right now!  My heart is in the shape of a dog, but I truly love all animals and believe in promoting the rescuing, rehabilitating and love of all creatures! So when a fellow writing friend, Elaine Pease, asked if she could come on and talk about the horse rescue she volunteers for, I gave a resounding YES! Listen in as we chat about the ins and outs of horse rescue, about what made her decide to write a book for kids about rescue, and hear some of the stories that will inspire you to look at all creatures--big and small, wild and tame--with more kindness and empathy!
In this important and heartfelt episode, host, Lindsay Eland, speaks with Kaleel Sakakeeny, the founder of Animal Talks Inc as he tells us the story of what led him to start this amazing organization, his thoughts on the sacredness of our relationship with our animals, and all the ways in which you can receive comfort and support as you journey through the twists and turns of your grief. Please take the time to listen in.
Listen in as host, Lindsay Eland and Cayleb's Kindred founder, Sophiane talk about how she began her rescue at 14 (yes, 14 years old!) the old curmugeons that steal her heart, and the evolution of her rescue into a fospice organization! It has all the heart, inspiration and stories that Just Add Dogs strives to give each week.
