In this episode, I interview Teagan, a lovely and brilliant person who shares some her experiences around coming out as queer and trans in the gaming community.
I decided to interview my tattoo artist in the middle of getting work done. Pepper is a New Orleans based handpoke tattooer and artist. You can see their art work on Instagram, but you can only buy it in person. When you're in town, catch them at the market or see if you can book a tattoo with them! To complete the vibe for this conversation, listen to Pepper's handpoke jams playlist in the background. We turned the music off while recording for practical purposes, but their playlist is too perfect not to share.
Chatting with Alexia, host of podcasts Titanic Talkline and Damsels Who Discuss, about creative practices, what we're learning as independent creatives, and the ways we're practicing and challenging ourselves in life. We talk art, current events, roller derby, and self care. Be sure to check out all of Alexia's work online! Pride month is more than just a rainbow party. It's a time to be vocal and visible, to celebrate ourselves and one another, and to reaffirm our commitment to creating a world that embraces all of us. What better way to do that than at a roller derby triple header? Let's explore that and much more about how we celebrate pride in this episode. Links for the curious! Living your path isn't about following the straight and narrow. It's about expanding into possibility.
Some of the most important growth and connection we can experience comes from moments of vulnerability, but to be vulnerable can be scary. How do we open ourselves up to these priceless experiences while also honoring our need for safety?

I've been listening to Sacred Gender by Ariana Serpentine and reflecting on my own experiences at the intersection of gender and spirituality. Today during a road trip I share what I'm learning.
It's Mardi Gras morning and the city is full of interesting experiences. Come take a walking adventure with me. Heads up: sound levels vary in this episode because of street noise!
It's easy to get overwhelmed and frustrated when life is busy or when we set really high expectations for ourselves. How can we practice patience with ourselves and we work through the mundane yet stressful challenges of life?
Even introverts and independent learners can benefit from cultivating a practice community, it just might happen in unexpected ways. Tonight we talk about finding community, what we give, what we receive, and how we grow together.
Exploring what it means to be authentic, how it impacts our lives, and how we can practice it with intention.
