You work hard at what you do. Most of the time you know what to do and if you don't know what to do you learn how to do it or you hand it off. However, if you constantly find yourself frustrated and putting your writing career or online business on the back burner it's probably not because you have a terrible work ethic, that you are lazy, or that you don't have what it takes. It's probably an identity problem and that is what Kim dives into in this week's episode! A common struggle that I see a lot of bloggers and writers facing is being triggered by something that sends us into a downward spiral out of productivity. Discovering what can be triggering for you and being mindful of that is important. Most of these triggers are rooted in insecurity. Insecurity is a toxic emotion but we all experience it at some point and it can make you think or do things that are out of character. Your feelings are valid and it's important to feel them and process through them but then we need to get past that and start moving forward again. Don't allow these triggers to cause you to lose your momentum.I found an author, Byron Katie, whose books helped me find the right mindset to work through these triggers with a series of questions that I ask myself whenever I feel triggered.Mentioned in this episode:(affiliate links)Books by Byron Katie https://amzn.to/3PE7kPhBurnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle by Amelia Nagoski and Emily Nagoski https://amzn.to/3c7cNiSReady To Start Your Self-Made Writing Journey?Get my free eBook, How To Kickstart Your Writing Career at Any Age or Stage > https://kimandersonconsulting.lpages.co/how-to-kick-start-your-writing-career-kac/Need Support?Check out Kim's School & Squad > https://kimandersonconsulting.lpages.co/treks-to-blog-success-start/Stock Media provided by Wannakisound / Pond5
