Once Donald Trump announced that he intended to nominate Kash Patel as the Director of the FBI, the writing was on the wall for the current FBI head Chris Wray. The problem is, FIB Directors are appointed for 10-year terms to help provide some independence and separation between the FBI and the president and his administration. A president can only fire the head of the FBI for good cause. But rather than force Trump's hand into what would be a wrongful firing, Wray "obeyed in advance" and resigned. Wray said he was resigning because, in his opinion, it was best for the FBI. But is it best for the American people? As we continue to look for points of light amidst the Trump-induced darkness, new reporting shows that Trump's demands that his New York civil fraud case and his NY guilty verdicts in his criminal case have been rejected by AG James and DA Bragg, respectively. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg refused Trump's lawyers' demands to dismiss his criminal guilty verdicts. Per USA Today: "'President-elect immunity does not exist.' I understand your argument about Fed court judges... but...are we actually willing to take a chance that these innocent ppl won't--somehow-- be proven guilty for something that they didn't do? (ie:maybe fake evidence gets planted--don't wanna wade too far into the "future hypothetical weeds"). Look, I realize that Presidential pardons should be treated like a "break glass for emergencies" kind of situations. But also-- this Not Normal time that we find ourselves in... does seems like a "break glass" kind of time (ex. of not normal: orange criminal plans on issuing pardons to the J. 6 rioting thugs, who-- w/o a doubt-- caused much physical damage and harm to police (just doing their jobs-- security detail) and property of the halls of Congress. Interesting debate to have, though.

When the orange criminal/ rapist/ racist and serial lie maker left office in 2021 (and yeah-- repeating-- He Lost in 2020-21; there's even a tape of him admitting so), he pardoned an almost historically Massive amount of ppl (and many of them were Guilty of corruption or refusing a court order...Steve Bannon...cough cough). If these Maga nut jobs are going to act outside the law, why should Biden? Make it make sense. 🧐

Mr, Kirchner, For what it's worth, here's my opinion. SCOTUS will absolutely NOT tell 45 he has total immunity. Right now, Biden is POTUS, and that same immunity would apply to him. Does anyone think the court would do that? Thanks for letting me voice my opinion. Madeline Holland

He will do absolutely anything now he is cornered and he'll be extremely dangerous once the realization drops that he can't bs his way out of prison. I hope his phones and other communications are being tapped and there are measures in place to prevent him from fleeing. Watching this situation from afar is so painful.
