In hour 3, Lou covers the seismic shifts reshaping media: celebrities licensing AI versions of their voices, Paramount–Skydance losing 600 employees after forcing an office return, and cable TV hitting a record-low share of U.S. viewing. Then: TNT gets bold with uncut, graphic programming; Chris Rock reveals a behind-the-scenes SNL bombshell; new data shows how people really use ChatGPT; and flight rules like Airplane Mode get demystified. A fast-moving hour exploring where tech, entertainment, and everyday life collide.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In hour 2 Chris unpacks the newly released Epstein emails and the political blast radius aimed squarely at Trump and Congress as both parties fight over whether the Justice Department must release the full Epstein files. Then we shift to a developing corruption case tied to Governor Newsom’s former chief of staff, a decade-long romance-scam identity theft involving a Palm Springs trainer, and the county-wide emergency alert misfire that had half of L.A. wondering what went wrong. A full hour where national politics crash directly into SoCal life.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Lou opens the hour with the bombshell arrest of Dana Williamson, former Chief of Staff to Governor Newsom. He’s joined by KFI News Director Jayson Campadonia to walk through how Williamson got caught, why she’s now the “former” Chief of Staff, and what this corruption case means for Newsom’s future and the 2028 political landscape. Lou reflects on his own experience as Chief of Staff and questions the hiring practices that enabled this to happen. Lou continues by digging into the broader network of co-conspirators and how this scandal has blown the Governor’s race wide open, even down to Williamson’s courthouse comments that sounded straight out of an SNL skit. He closes the hour by shifting to California’s uncertain political future and the national ripple effect of ending the penny — including how major retailers like Walmart and McDonald’s are now seeking federal guidance on rounding prices in a post-penny world.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Lou continues the conversation on the end of the penny and the broader evolution of American currency. He plays a statement from the U.S. Mint explaining why pennies will still circulate for now and explores the lingering psychology behind prices ending in .99. KFI’s Mark Rahner weighs in with his take on ditching the coin altogether. Lou then looks at the real-world ripple effects for retailers as they adjust to price rounding and eventually exhaust their penny inventory. He reflects on his own kids’ relationship with money and how younger generations increasingly don’t interact with physical cash at all. The hour expands into a deeper discussion about the rise of digital payments, capped off with a fun whip-around on how much cash—if any—the team actually carries anymore. Lou closes the hour by looking ahead to what a fully cashless future could mean for all of us.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Lou turns to a major cultural and economic shift: the revival of “Made in America.” He looks at how major retailers like Walmart are embracing U.S.-made products again, driven by a public moving away from the “cheapest possible” mindset and toward valuing quality, durability, and national pride. Lou explores why American-made goods are surging back into style during President Trump’s second term and what this shift reveals about consumers’ changing priorities. He also breaks down how buying domestically keeps wealth circulating within our own economy, strengthening national independence and improving overall safety. Lou closes the hour by tying together the broader implications of this renewed focus on American manufacturing and what it means for the country moving forward.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
