She instructed Ambika Ambalika to please the rishi by their humility and get blessed with sons. but fate has other plans. Ambika closed her eyes when Vyasa looked at her as his Roopam was too terrible to look at. since she closed her eyes she was blessed with a son who would be blind. he is Dhritarashtra and when Ambalika was asked to go to him she shivered with fear and her face got whitened. she was blessed with a son who would be born pale in complexion. he is Pandu.then when asked to go again Ambika sent her maid in place of herself. In this episode Amba after getting rejected repeatedly by both Bheeshma and Salvan goes to the Himalayas to do penance . Sri Subramanya The God of war appears before her and presents a divine garland assuring that whoever wears the garland can defeat Bhishma in the battle. Amba returns to the various kingdoms asking for the kings to wear the garland and fight Bhishma. But none is willing to take up the challenge . finally she reaches Drupada the king of panchala hoping that he may be willing to take up the challenge . But fearing the wrath of Bhishma he also sends her away. Totally dejected she hangs the garland at the gate of the fort of the king of panchala and sacrifices herself to the fire. She takes the rebirth as Shikandi -the daughter of drupada . When she was 5 years old she takes the divine garland and puts it on herself . This is very well known story of Sri Krishna. Once Indra was proud of being the provider of rain and thought he deserves the special yagam and pooja offered by the Vrundavan people. But Krishna felt Indra needs to know that every Devatha has a duty and they inturn are controlled by mone other than Sri Vishnu. Krishna requested Nandagopa to offer the pooja to Govardhan Giri as it is the mountain with dense forests which provides rain harnessing the rain bearing clouds .. people accordingly offered pooja to the Govardhan mountain. this story is again story built on spot with my grandkids Mukundh and Abirami. A rishi lives in an ashram. There are many wild animals which live in harmony with each other. A tiger is also part of the ashram animals it is friendly with deer cattle and other animals. . But the harmony is broken by the entry of another tiger which makes the ashram tiger into a ferocious one. What does the Rishi do? Is it safe to keep the tiger which was about to eat it's friends?
