Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our theme "Five Stunning Realities of the Gospel.  Our scripture reference was Mark 6:42. We had a great discussion on how the Gospel is about provision, yet it's always about satisfaction.  God wants us to be satisfied in the soul.  We heard so many listener calls sharing the joy they have in God's provisions in their lives...and usually it's the simplest things.   We spoke with Dr. David Nelms, the Founder of The Timothy Initiative (TTI).  He shared that one of the most significant provisions of the Gospel is that we can love others and tell others about the Gospel.  The Great Commission is great, but the Great Commandment to love others as God has loved us and tell them the Good News is even greater!   Dr. Alex McFarland also joined us.  He's a Christian apologist, author, evangelist, and culture analyst.  He emphasized that the greatest satisfaction found in the Gospel is the cross!  Every other provision and satisfaction comes from what happened on the cross.  People can miss the blessings because they don't understand and culture is unstable.  He offered 10 Questions Every Christian is asking or soon will be (to receive: text TEN to 1-800-555-7898).  Also, his latest book is called "100 Bible Questions and Answers on Prophecy and the End Times".    You can listen to the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast. If you're looking to listen to a particular segment from the show, look at the following time stamps: Donate to Moody Radio: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/morningshowSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our theme "Five Stunning Realities of the Gospel.  Our scripture reference was Mark 6:14-29.  We had a great discussion on the power of conviction, especially through the Gospel.  We are all convicted of something or by someone every day, but what are our actions?  What is the power behind those actions?  Pastor, speaker, and award-winning author, Max Lucado, helped us learn ways to tame our thoughts.  His new book is called "Tame Your Thoughts: 3 Tools to Renew Your Mind and Transform Your Life".  We must guard our thoughts and weed out unhealthy thought patterns.  It's vital to separate the present issue from the real issue. We also talked with Dr. Michael Rydelnik.  He is Professor Emeritus of Jewish Studies and Bible at MBI.  Dr. Rydelnik is the host of the radio program Open Line.  Dr. Rydelnik (as well as Karl) will be speaking at The Summit on Israel and the Last Days Conference on November 8th at the Moody Bible Institute.  He also shared his family history and testimony as a Jewish believer.    You can listen to the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast. If you're looking to listen to a particular segment from the show, look at the following time stamps:  Interview with Max Lucado [5:02] When Conviction Stops Short of Action [22:01] Interview With Dr. Michael Rydelnik [36:55]Donate to Moody Radio: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/morningshowSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued our theme "Five Stunning Realities of the Gospel.  Our scripture reference was Mark 6:12.  Dr. Ronnie Floyd joined us to explain what true repentance really is and that the Gospel without true repentance is not Good News.  Dr. Floyd is a speaker, author, and pastor.  He is the host of the weekly podcast called "For Leaders Podcast".  His latest book is called "The Supernatural Power of Prayer and Fasting".  Dr. Floyd emphasized a key question of repentance: "Can you remember the time and place?"  Many gave their lives to Jesus this morning...Praise God! We also talked with Dr. Erwin Lutzer.  He shared the reality of Israel's new peace.  What does the current situation mean culturally and biblically?  Is this a time for peace, and will Israel ever know true peace?  What do Christians need to know and understand?  Dr. Lutzer is Pastor Emeritus of Moody Church in Chicago, a speaker, author, and host of the broadcast program Running to Win.  Donate to Moody Radio: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/morningshowSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
