“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you. It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:7-18 NIV
How well are you doing on your sin-management? As believers we are not to do sin management but we are to be controlled by the Spirit of God. How do you trash anger? Is it even possible to assassinate it on your own? Or do we find ourselves in a Bruce Manor situation? You can not kill anger or bury anger dead. Anger only will find itself steeping in the ground of your heart like tea steeps in a cup of hot water. It will steep and the enemy at the right time will use it to create something far worse. As anger is buried, you become impregnated with bitterness. Bitterness is something that is even more difficult to get rid of due to the way it masquerades as something other than what it really is. Bitterness hides and you can not see although others can. If Anger does not destroy you and those around you, bitterness will surely terminate the souls spiritual senses. Talk about losing your sense of smell and taste due to covid. Your soul will not be able to sense anything that the LORD Jesus is trying to communicate to you via His Holy Spirit. So then I am sure that all can conclude that anger must be trashed/assassinated. But how? How is this done. Just as Bruce Manor could not assassinate himself neither can you assassinate your flesh man. This is what it takes to kill anger/trash anger. See anger as the flesh man and it is at war against your spirit man.
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Ephesians 6:12 NIV
When your faith is in operation, your feelings will not control your behavior.. Faith says God will work it SO THEN- I surrender it. Remember feelings are real but we must never operate in feelings. We must always operate in faith. Feelings come and go…faith remains. 1 Cor 13:13 “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love…..”
1 Corinthians 13:13. Unfortunately we are not warned most times when we are going to run into a storm. We are not warned about the trial that is going to hit or the attack from the enemy. It just happens. But we have been told in the word of God that trials will come so store this in the back of your mind so that when it happens you will not be surprised and tossed back and forth like the waves in the midst of a storm. “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
Renee evaluates the scripture John 18:15-27 - Peter’s Failure and how Jesus applies grace in His restoration. Peter denies Him 3x and Jesus makes Peter declare his love for Jesus 3x (John 21:15-17). You can literally go from success to failure in moments. One moment we are doing that which is pleasing to God and the next moment we have in our sinful nature slid into failure. Failure is living a life that is un-holy. We are so far removed from walking in the steps that God has ordained for us to do. It seems that David was considered a man after God’s own heart not because He was perfect but because whenever he failed and it was brought to his attention the failure, he would run to His hiding place. Psalms 51 was a good display of that. God’s grace is more than enough to handle your failure. Just humble yourself and walk in true repentance. Watch what He will do. When I say Jesus knows you, I mean He knows the amount of grace, how to administer the grace and the timing to distribute the grace to you so that you become a Powerhouse Display of His Love and Mercy.
Renee Forney takes a look into the Psalms 107 and examines how the love of God truly endures through all of our Life hardships and trouble. His love endures forever. It does not matter where trouble comes from, whether it is our disobedience or someone else’s disobedience or just LIFE happening for the glory of God to be manifested...Jesus will hear us when we cry out to Him and He will deliver us. If you are wise, heed the instructions of the LORD and carefully consider the great, magnificent, relentless, unshakeable, unflappable love of God for you. Psalm 107, Psalm 117
Renee Forney discusses revelations of what faith looks like in the midst of waiting on God. Faith is not a feeling. Faith is acting like it all depends on God. You do not have to feel faith. But you must walk in faith by carefully obeying all that God instructs you to do. Faith acts like in every arena that whatever it is that you are hoping/praying for depends on God…(acts like - talk like it depends on God, walk like it depends on God. And no matter what the outcome, faith still says that God is good. God loves me. God is with me.
Hebrews 11:1, 1 Peter 1:13-16, Romans 8:26-28, Deuteronomy 31:8
Renee explores the passage of scripture in Judges 6:11-15. God calls Gideon Mighty Warrior but Gideon sees himself as the weakest in the clan. We as believers must remember who we are in Christ and tap into that Dunamas Power of the Holy Spirit to embrace who Jesus says we are.
The healing download is the word of God that is spoken into your atmosphere. Sickness has no power over us due to what Jesus did on the cross. But He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
Renee dives in with discussing how one must finish the task that God assigns no matter how many road blocks or pit-stops encountered along the way. If God has given you a vision/promise; you must listen for His instructions and move at His command. Remember that any interruption on the journey is only used to shape your character if it is a God-ordained task. Don’t quit until you have fully carried out every assignment Jesus gives. Genesis 37-45, James 1:2-4, Romans 4:19-22, 24. Let it be said that you did not waiver in your faith and it was credited to you as righteousness.
Jesus is the Master of Comfort. He comforts us in our afflictions, injuries, losses so that our hearts can be filled up and prepared to comfort others when they experience afflictions. 2 Cor 1:3-5, Joshua 4:20-25, Psalms 40:1-3
Renee Forney discusses brokenness existing at some level in every human being’s life. As we come to know Christ, surrendering our lives to His Lordship, He transforms our brokenness into something beautiful. Our brokenness becomes something beautiful after colliding with the Cross, Jesus. Renee encourages you to own your luggage/bags/brokenness and then lay it at the feet of Jesus so that it does not become a hindrance to you living life in a manner that is God honoring. Refuse to own the brokenness of others. Release others from the expectations of being perfect and release yourself from the performance monster... Scripture references: Psalms 147:3, Proverbs 4:20-27, Romans 12:2, Zephaniah 3:17, Romans 8:28, Romans 8:39-39.
Renee explores Paul and Silas’ journey- beaten with rods, locked in chains imprisoned in an inner cell. Nevertheless they sang hymns of praise to God even in their painful trying struggle. In the midst of trials and crises, If we choose to continue to be useful to God in the midst of it all declaring the gospel of Jesus Christ, God will use it for the good of His Kingdom and draw others to Himself. In your crises shake your atmosphere with praise to God. Acts 16:22-34, Romans 8:28, John 16:33
Renee discusses how Jesus desires to heal the soul from the painful bleeding that occurs from toxic relationships. She takes you on a journey into the story of the woman with the issue of bleeding and how she pressed into the crowd to get to Jesus for healing. Renee likens the desperation of this lady to the desperation of the need for Jesus to intervene when we find ourselves in toxic relationships that causes bleeding of the soul. What Jesus cuts away from our lives we should never return to yoke back up with; for it hinders true healing. We must first take steps to embrace Jesus pruning us - John 15:2b “and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” We must agree with Jesus “Yes Jesus You are good and this is done for my good”. Removal of the toxic relationships makes room for more healthy thriving relationships that will encourage your growth in Jesus. Don’t grieve the loss of the relationship too long. Be intentional with giving thanks to God for it is His will for you in Christ Jesus. Remember Jesus loves you dearly and desires that you not reconnect to the toxicity of bad relationships. You are the apple of His eye. Mark 5:25-34, 1 Thessalonians 5:18, John 15:2
Renee Forney discusses the need to reject rejection by embracing the fact that What Jesus did has made you righteous. We must wear our robe of righteousness and walk in the deep love grace mercy and acceptance of Christ.
Renee discusses being tired in the midst of suffering. Learn how to press through in praise while you wait for Gods deliverance. Learn how to stay clear of becoming impatient with God.
