Mid-2025 brings a short tour of Saturn through Aries, as a kind of prelude to the longer, two-year Saturn in Aries transit which starts in February 2026. The Sun moves into Gemini on May 20 and stays there for approximately one month. Gemini season 2025 is unique since both Mercury and Jupiter will be in Gemini during Gemini season. Gemini’s energy will be expanded and enhanced thanks to Jupiter’s presence. Mercury in Gemini will also help bring clarity and connectivity. We had a similar configuration in June 2024 so you might experience some echoes from that time period in the early parts of Gemini season 2025. When one luminary blocks another, as happens during an eclipse, we experience significant shifts in energy. This New Moon solar eclipse will create a hunger for progress and beginnings. This eclipse is in Aries, the cardinal fire sign of the Zodiac, and will activate themes of initiation and momentum. There is a restlessness and desire to move forward under this New Moon eclipse. This New Moon eclipse in Aries is also the last of a pattern of Aries eclipses that began in April 2023 and is now winding down and ending. Venus is currently retrograde and will remain that way until April 12. Mercury also stationed retrograde on March 15. Since Venus is retrograde less than any other planet, these periods are more poignant and potent. During this ‘backwards’ movement, you can expect a re-evaluation of your pleasures and desires and tweaks to your existing relationships. Venus moves from Aries to Pisces in late March so expect a shift in the affected Venus areas of your chart, with Venus in Aries likely the more challenging of the two placements.Mercury is retrograde from March 15 to April 7. Mercury will also move from Aries to Pisces during its retrograde cycle. When Mercury is retrograde, it is a great time for catching up on things.
