Kene’s Mum Talks

Just me (young mum) talking about my parenting experience.

Kids and Homework

Whatever the age of the child, they need to be able to work on their homework independently. The homework is for the kids not you the parents. It’s okay for them to fail. This helps you and the teacher identify the kids issues and work out ways to solve them.

Parenting hacks

Set clear and consistent boundaries and rules for your children. Encourage and praise their efforts, not just their accomplishments. Teach them time management and organizational skills. Make quality family time a priority. Use technology wisely and in moderation. Foster their interests and hobbies. Teach them about healthy relationships and communication skills. Lead by example with healthy habits such as exercise and healthy eating. Encourage independence and problem-solving skills. Show love and affection regularly.
