In part one of today's podcast, Kevin and Ally break down the fears that are plaguing the audience members, some updates on our goal to get something in Hayward named after The Rock, and more!
Elephant tranquilizer has become a new popular recreational drug, Dead Eyes chooses the wrong person to chat at a Berkeley protest, and more!
The show breaks down how survival on a plane crash could be determined by which seat you choose, Mother's Day scams reveals some more strange info from Ally's family, and more!
Part one of today's Double Trouble Thursday, with Ally talking about her long desire to catch a foul ball at a MLB game, new songs from listeners about the show, and more!
Big BART news leads Kevin to recount his own personal story of getting beat up by young gypsy kids during his time as an overseas student. Many Bay Area commuters are now afraid for their safety and belongings, but we’re all curious about the number of kids we could beat up. Afterwards we talk about an online domain squatter attempting to keep the Raiders in Oakland. Later, Kevin tells a story about sexuality, butter, and getting fired. Plus, a call from a British orphan named Pip, the return of Band or Banned, ants named after Radiohead, and more from today’s episode of KKL Half-Off!
Liam Mayclem joins Live 105's Kevin Klien Live to announce the line-up for this year's BottleRock Napa Valley's Culinary Stage.
Kevin decided that today the show would have a mission, which was to find the missing Jerry Rice football that was going to be sold to help benefit Chinese orphans and the mystery was solved before the end of the show! Plus, Useless Weirdo was at the Cheap Ass Ticket Party on Saturday morning asking random millennials about some items and stores that existed in the 90s that one would expect them to remember. All this, and more!
KKL Half-Off: April 13th, 2017. We start Double Trouble Thursday with some good news for Ally. People always make the mistake of thinking she and her fiancé are sisters. It turns out that this is quite normal, as we tend to seek out partners that resemble us. With Ally’s history of incest, at least she is consistent. Later, we take an earthquake survival quiz to determine who on the show is most likely to survive The Big One. Afterwards, the big hero from last night’s San Jose Sharks game joins us on the phone as we welcome Paul Martin back to the show. Plus, Kevin shares a personal Charlie Murphy story, Patrick has to share his phone number with listeners, a new round of Really Estate, and more from today’s full episode of KKL Half-Off!
Comedian Brian Posehn is in town for some shows at Cobb's Comedy Club this weekend and the show loves having the big guy in. Brian Posehn stopped by to be a judge in Am I A Nerd and to give his opinion on which person on the show is the biggest nerd. Plus Useless Weirdo breaks down his dance class he had to do for GroupOn Roulette, where the show was able to get video of his depressing solo dance performance. All this, and more!
KKL Half-Off: April 6th, 2017. We’re getting closer to the weekend but not quite there yet. To hold you over, we bring you today’s full episode in honor of Double Trouble Thursday! A friend from NASA joins us to share his thoughts about the Flat Earth Theory, Photoshop, and how to win in a game of rock-paper-scissors. We call it Dumb Questions For Smart People. Afterwards, callers share stories of the times they thought they won, but really lost. Later, women guess the definitions of dictionary.com’s recent additions to their word list in a game of Bet On Your Mom. Plus, Kevin talks about gay-face, we listen to an updated batch of Curry In A Hurry, LGB Mr.T answers questions, and more from today’s full episode of Kevin Klein Live!
Kevin and Ally had comedian Adam Ray on today's show, who is probably former show member Brad William's best friend in the world to the point where the two host a podcast together. The show tried to see if Adam would give any updates on what to expect at Brad's wedding, but Adam is so in the dark that he wasn't even sure yet whether or not he was the best man. Plus, Kevin Klein Live ponders the idea of increasing safety on the roadways of the Bay Area by replacing the dangerous phone usage in cars with messenger crows, such as the ones you would see on Game of Thrones. All this and more!
KKL Half-Off: April 4th, 2017. We’re all still very in-need of funds for our Kickstarter programs. To ramp things up we have all put our song-producing skills to the test to create our very own jingles! Which one of us should start getting ready for a Grammy? Probably none of us! Afterwards, we play a game of Dollar Tree Price is Right, and we’re surprised that we even got a winner. Later, we take a group frugality quiz to determine who on the show is the cheapest. Plus, a caller requests a live over-the-phone QuarrL session, we argue over Marvel’s new and controversial lesbian Latina superhero, our March Madness super bracket winner calls in, and more from today’s episode of KKL: Half-Off!
Twinkie goes to Hippie Hill to get expert advice on how to prepare for the "big day" later this month, which strangely has him end up in the middle of an off-beat drum circle. Plus, Rest In Tweets honors the fallen sexy commercials that made Carl's Jr. so famous, the crayon color Dandelion that Crayola removed from their packages, and the flag maker of the rainbow flag that is synonymous with the LGBT community. All this, and more!
Kevin finally gets a chance to talk about his much-troubled Kickstarter project, even if it still hasn't gone live yet. His project, called Toe-Ster, was going over well until he was notified about another issue in the middle of his presentation. Plus, Let's Get Offended looks at a program at a high school trying to make sure no kid eats lunch alone, which the show resents most likely because it didn't exist when they were in high school. All this and more!
A new round of He Cray/She Cray got underway today, with the show finally able to have the proper opportunity to play its new theme provided by listeners, which has a fun funky sound to it. Also, Michele Wolf of the Daily Show joins us for Tantrum Or TanTrump, where listeners tried to guess if a line read by Kevin was something Trump has said or something a child said while having a fit.
Twinkie may still be out, but Ally was able to return to today's show with a full recollection of her miserable attempts to drive back from Lake Tahoe, complete with tales of closed roads and Safeway bags full of human feces. Plus, in honor of the film Raw, which Kevin Klein Live is giving tickets to all this week, listeners shared their stories of times they've had weird items fall into their mouths and possibly resulting in what Kevin could only classify as "accidental cannibalism".
Adam DeVine called in to Kevin Klein Live to promote his show at the Masonic this Friday in San Francisco. Kevin and Ally talked the Workaholics star about whether he'll be at former show member Brad's wedding, his time selling steaks over the phone, and more. Also, with Trump taking the lead and giving himself some grades on his performance as president, the show decided to grade themselves as honestly as they can. No one went with a C grade, which for better or worse, the show isn't being average. Less than or more than average are still viable options. Plus, Useless Weirdo sees a listing for his current job on the CBS website, sending him into a bit of a meltdown over the concern of his job. Will Useless Weirdo be gone from the show soon?
KKL Half-Off: February 28th, 2017. Today’s episode kicks off with a group quiz to figure out if we’re basic bitches. We all participate, but for some reason Ally is feeling singled out, and we can’t imagine why. Afterwards, we get into a deep discussion about Trimethylaminuria, aka fish odor syndrome. If you’re sensitive to strong smells, hold your nose. Later, Kim Coates of Sons of Anarchy shame calls in to chat, but technical difficulties lead to his MOMMA award ceremony being cut short. Plus, our friend Bo calls in to share final Black Guy tips to close up Black History Month, contestants have to put their trust (or mistrust) of Mr. Cowchella Eric to use to win tickets, another listener calls in to defend Patrick against bullying, and more from today’s episode of KKL Half-Off!
KKL Half-Off: February 23rd, 2017. Today starts off with a special moment, as we can clearly hear Kevin being disappointed more than he has ever been. In the middle of talking about how fun it would be to troll lottery jackpot hopefuls, Kevin learns that someone already won the $400 million + prize. It looks like we’ll have to wait for the next big jackpot. To follow up with more bad news for Kevin, he discovered that he is highly allergic to cats. Maybe this is actually bad news for Ally, as it looks like she will have to come up with a solution to help Kevin not suffocate to death. Afterwards, we talk to Brevan Jorgenson, who has figured out how to hack his Honda Civic to be a self-driving car. No more need to save up for a Tesla! Later, we talk to the director of the new documentary Prison Fighters: Five Rounds To Freedom. He shares the story of prisoners in Thailand earning their way out of prison through fighting. Plus, we share our favorite public places to cry, Trendasaurus tells us about the hottest new thing to consume while in the shower, a new rideshare game is debuted, and more from today’s Double Trouble episode of Kevin Klein Live!
KKL Half-Off: February 21st, 2017. We’re all in a good mood after the three-day-weekend because we’re that much closer to Friday. Kevin is in such a good mood that he wants to kick off the show with some gambling. What’s the over/under on how many cigarettes Ally smoked on her weekend trip to Vegas? How many times did she have sex with her girlfriend? Did she return to the Bay Area with some extra cash? Before that, Kevin describes Olivia’s first flight on an airplane. Like the old adage says, like father, like daughter, as we find out people dislike flying with her just as much as they dislike flying with Kevin. Afterwards, our new segment Silicon Ally forces Ally to test and review a phone app of our choosing. Will she have to cuddle with strangers, hang out with moms, or write poetry? Plus, Dead Eyes covers sports, new Rain Delays with Twinkie in the streets, Kevin describes Olivia’s first flight, and more from today’s episode of KKL Half-Off!
