The Cardinals had a difficult schedule to start 2022, fans and analysts alike knew it would be an uphill battle. Now, three games in and holding a 1-2 record the question becomes - Are the Arizona Cardinals playing below expectations? Tyler and Gunner are in for the immediate postgame reaction and Tyler joins from the stadium where fans lingered for a few last sorrow songs on the game that was. The offense continues to look lethargic, in spite of big receiving numbers. The guys discuss if this can be growing pains, and the absence of Deandre Hopkins or if Kliff Kingsbury has flat out lost the room. Vance Joseph had also been under the microscope entering the season, but the questions now seem more about personnel than production. Simply put, the Arizona Cardinals are trying to fight through a difficult start to the season and hopefully right the ship as the look towards the mid-way point in an open NFC season. Tyler is joined by guest co-host Cam Cox to take a look back at how the Cardinals flipped the script in week 2 and if it is a repeatable process for the birds. Snapcounts can be an indicator of where a team had success and how it can build off those elements going forward. Big reps for AJ Green payed off(in the end) but Tyler also discusses the TE group and how they may be needed in the absence of DeAndre Hopkins. Cam Cox provides a first hand account of the near disaster on the scoop and score for the Arizona Cardinals, a moment the narrowly could have been a disaster but thankfully capped off a road victory. If Tyler has explained one thing since starting the Kick Off in the Valley podcast, it's that nothing comes easy for the Arizona Cardinals. Joined by special guest co-host Britt Golden, the former Cardinal wideout helps Tyler breakdown what was a wild one in Vegas. Once again the Cardinals started off sluggish on both sides of the ball. There was a change in leadership on the defensive side of the ball, but that did not help stop the Raiders from taking a dominant lead. Likewise, the offense continued to give Tyler pause around Kyler Murray and his desire to stay engaged through the struggles. Britt provides plenty of feedback from the player side of things, and certainly sees the coaching staff as responsible as the talent on the field. Just when hope was lost, it all started to turn around! Kyler Murray reminded the league just how special he can be, AJ Green remembered how to catch and in a wild sequence - Byron Murphy Jr. found himself on a scoop and score dash to the end zone in OT.
