Kids From Yesterday

In this two hour special, Courtney and Clodagh talk racism, the Black Lives Matter movement, visibility of Black artists in the alternative/punk scene, discuss in-depth the Emo Nite LA 'Racism in the punk/alternative scene'  Twitch conversation, and give you a starter list of incredible bands featuring Black musicians.  Contact: [email protected]

In this true-crime-focused episode, Clodagh and Courtney talk The West Memphis Three, Columbine, The Black Dahlia copycat murder and other notable cases where alternative music hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Clodagh explains her childhood fear of Marilyn Manson, Courtney nerds out over psychology and Dr. Spencer Reid, and our favourite emos revisit the myth of the Cult of the Black Parade.  Listener discretion is advised for potentially distressing descriptions of real murder cases. Back for a second season, Courtney and Clodagh partake in a socially-distanced catch up, talking new The Used,  All Time Low, Petals for Armour, the new Twilight book and Lauren James' An Unauthorised Fan Treatise. Courtney has a moment teaching us all about Bert McCracken's favourite things and Clodagh hypothesises what made Evanescence so popular.  contact us: [email protected]

Clodagh and Courtney are proud (and a little apprehensive) to present the first-ever Kids From Yesterday Christmas Party Special! A part two to episode 12, the gals welcome Dani back, armed with more chapters of her Gerard Way x OC x Frank Iero fanfic (written in 2004). Recorded for the first time in front of a live studio audience, KFY invites you to grab a drink, sit back, relax, and dream of Frank's hard hands as you listen to two hours of pure chaos... coming to you live from Dark Basement HQ.  Happy Holidays!  contact: [email protected]

Courtney and Clodagh talk groupies in this week's episode, focusing on famous groupies, the evolution of 'the groupie' into Scene Queens, the right to do what you want with your body and the differences between a groupie, a fangirl, and why we have those words in the first place.  Contact: [email protected]
