My guest today is singer, actress, producer, director Gina Nemo. If you watched T.V. crime dramas in the late 80s to early 90s, you may be familiar with a show called ‘21 Jump Street’ where she played Dorothy Pezzino (Check her out in “The Blu Flu” – 1989 – S3 Ep8). She is the daughter of jazz composer/musician Henry Nemo whose song “Don’t Take Your Love From Me” was performed by such greats as Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Etta James to name a few. My guest today is L.A. native now living in Washington, D.C. jazz vocalist Renée Collins Georges. She’s a seasoned performer having toured worldwide with Ray Charles, MC Hammer, and Diane Shuur. My guest is composer, producer, trumpeter, Dave Painchaud out of New York. I’ve known Dave since the mid 80’s as we both came out of Berklee College of Music in Boston together and am a big fan of his work where he “mashes electronic, ambient, orchestral and jazz music in unusual ways”. He not only plays trumpet but the flugelhorn and mellophone as well. His work can be heard in a variety of places on the internet and he’s also the host of his own show “Harmony of the Spheres”. He’s a world-class engineer who’s worked with Najee, KRS One, Michael Bolton, and the late Donna Summer, just to name a few. He’s a graduate of Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts (Full Sail University) in Florida and also studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
